You're Killing Me Smalls:
Went to try and relax after a 27hr shift since Saturday, where I hadn't eaten anything noteworthy. The female bartender was cordial enough to explain the process of placing an order. It took a min since the NFL game was on, but before I could figure what to order the male bartender "Steve" took the menu away. I seemed to lose my appetite, and decided just to enjoy cold beverages while watching the game. As I sat my beer down with a small remainder, Steve immediately took away the glass. I attempted to use a little humor and said to him, "Your Killing Me Smalls. Just wanted to let you know I hadn't totally finished the beer." Instead of an acknowledgement or some type of costumer service response, he immediately stated before I could finish my sentence, "There was nothing really left in the glass."
I asked the female bartender to close out my tab, because it seemed Steve didn't want my business. Luckily other regular customers were outgoing and made the rest of the game worth watching.
Wish I had a better time, but for tonight Fair To Midland...
Read moreService falls way short of any simple hospitable expectation. The staff is direct, no service etiquette or proper customer service skills. It's 7pm! I was asked, "What can I get you?" After sitting unnoticed for 5 min. (I don't exaggerate in my line of work...just in case!) When I asked about food, she says, "You order at the kitchen window." (No directions or motion to even point in a direction was given! I've never been here before!! Duh!) Me: "Umm ...where in the kitchen window?" Bar Tender: (Bending over pointing over her shoulder.) "It's over there!" The kitchen counter person was equally unimpressed with wanting to help me. The place is practically "self-service". Mind you ..this is my first time experience! Not welcoming whatsoever! Cold, uninviting, felt ignored as if a nuisance. I was staying at the adjacent hotel hoping for something close would be "nice", this ain't it! In restaurants, the first impression, is your...
Read moreThe bouncers asked me to do jumping jacks before I went in based off a comment one of the poor knowledge sheriff they had at front door made. To be exact he said he could smell liquor of me when he was 10ft plus away. Then after the bouncer asked me to jumping jacks and he was an African American wearing a purple hoodie. Thinking of going this place for so called “fun” will not be an option as you will be harassed before you go inside. When i arrived to this place I expected to have fun but it was nothing but the opposite. Customers that go this place will have designated drivers. I was one of those customers. I understand I drank. But that shouldn’t make me a target for harassment. One of my first times in Odessa. Made my experience pretty shitty due to this bar and their poor decision to put this man as a “bouncer”. As a business owner in the industry, please look into your employees. They WILL ruin what you...
