Working with Jamie Hartley and her co-designer Jessica at Hartley Haus was an absolute joy! Jamie’s personal style leans more neutral and earthy (think Restoration Hardware vibes), while I’m someone who loves color and would happily live in a Caitlin Wilson catalog. Despite our differences in style, Jamie completely got me and designed my living spaces like she had lived in them herself.

What truly sets her apart is her ability to design outside her own aesthetic. She listened so well, honored what I loved, and created a space that still—years later—makes me smile every single day. I haven’t changed a single thing she did.

Jamie also did an incredible job sticking to my budget—investing in thoughtful statement pieces while filling in with more budget-friendly finds. She’s a dealer for Bassett and Four Hands, so she can help with everything from high-quality furniture to home accessories. But she’s also not above a Home Goods treasure hunt (thank goodness, because that place overwhelms me), and I love that about her.

Her storefront is just as charming—full of treasures and the best candles. I still stop in whenever I can. I truly can’t recommend Jamie and Hartley...

They never overrode my style or preferences; instead, they let my style be front and center and they added and enhanced with their ideas and access to great vendors and housewares.

My favorites things about Hartley Haus: They have fabulous style for reasonable prices - they don’t seek out overly expensive things “just because”. They let me participate in all of the big decisions that I loved and felt passionate about, then they took over on all of the small design decisions when I became fatigued or overwhelmed. They have great access to vendors and even local contractors, when needed. They are always optimistic, kind, and full of joy and energy! They are an absolute pleasure to work with!
