JB Sportscards is by far the best hobby shop in Connecticut if not in all of New England! They have an excellent selection of hobby boxes, singles, and signed memorabilia for every sport. Plus they have a great selection of Pokemon for unbeatable prices! I’ve been to a bunch of other shops like Ken’s, R&D, and Skybox but they don’t hold a candle to the selection and prices at JBs. Plus when I’ve sold cards JBs has always given me the most fair compensation as opposed to some of the other shops I mentioned who ripped me off and who I totally distrust now.
I’ve spent hours hanging out in there opening up boxes (they give you free supplies when opening in store!) and just looking through all of their selection of cards and jerseys. It’s always a lot of fun, and they always take care of me.
JB is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and has taught me a lot over the 7 years I’ve been going there. The other members of their team are fantastic too! Hudson, Jimmy, Chris, and Kyle are always knowledgeable, great and fun to talk to! They’re all great people. Hudson especially has always been extremely friendly and funny and always takes care of me in all the years I’ve been frequenting the store! Plus he talks football with me which is always nice! And that girl Summer who works in the back has helped me a ton with any questions I have and is super sweet too anytime I need any help!
Thank you all so much for being awesome and for always taking care of me! I love that store!
Sincerely, A loyal customer of the...
Read moreMy son,11 yrs old, and I had the BEST experience here. He recently got my entire family back into card collecting so we’re looking for new shops. My dad, passed 15 years ago, was an avid collector. He would have loved this shop as much as we did. The sports card selection was AMAZING. I was looking for hockey for my son’s (13yo) birthday. The owner and staff were extremely helpful with a novice trying to learn everything again. They gave my 11 yo a free baseball Jersey and he picked out a game from their free box. They gave us a Connor Bedard rookie and some other hockey cards for the birthday boy. I picked up hobby hockey boxes for birthday present and advent calendar. I also grabbed a Caitlin Clark box for myself. 11yo grabbed the latest upper deck hockey box for his brother, a mystery bag (worth it) and a box of baseball cards for himself that he was thrilled about. We drove an hour to get there. You should too! 11yo is trying to get me to go back...
Read moreI collected cards when I was younger (in the 80's), and recently my son wants to get into sports cards as he is becoming a fan of football and baseball. JB and John spent over an hour with me educating me on the new industry. So much has changed in the last 30 years. My first impression of JB's is they are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and from what I saw, they will take the time to speak with and educate all levels of sport collectors. I will certainly be going back with my son!! PS - the place is like piece of history. The signed cards, signed bats, balls and helmets is so much fun to look at. You will feel like a kid again! Thanks guys for providing such a great rebirth experience into the world of...
