Our room was terrible! It was filthy. There were s*** skid marks in the toilet. The floor and tiles were filthy. There was mold in the caulking around the tub. The tub had stains or dirt in two corners and a dirt ring around it. One of the dressers had something sticky all over the front. I had to clean all the sink fixtures with dissemfectant wipes .The cleaning towels came away black. There was dust on many surfaces There were numerous stains on the rug and what appeared to be a cigarette burn There was paint starting to peel away in one area The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were made of some sort of shredded foam. I haven't seen those cheap pillows anywhere since the 1970"s. We got in late and when we brought the problems to the attention of the front desk they couldn't give us another room because the hotel was sold out. Mattenace inspectioned the room and offered to clean it. Especially the toilet! At that point it was so late, and we were so tired, we just wanted to go to sleep. Since the maintence man had made an inspection they didnt try deny the condition of the room the next morning. They gave us a 25% discount at check out. It was something, but this place was so bad they should have done better In summary, this is a hotel that nobody should book. It's old, dingy and downright dirty. G** knows what the area where they prepare the food might be like. You read this take it seriously

WARNING: New PTAC units were installed in hits hotel. Despite the Verdant managed thermostat instruction manuals stating ins HUGE BLACK LETTERS "PLACE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF BED OTHERWISUE UNIT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY" the lazy franchise owner put them by the front door. There is a wall that separates the bed from the living area by the front door. As the PTAC units are next to the bed, what does this mean? The thermostat heat and motion sensors do not detect people in bed and the unit vents cold air from outside and all HVAC systems shutoff until a very low minimum temperature of probably 62 degrees is reached. Outside air, regardless of the temp, is vented into the unit while you sleep. Staying her until this incompetency is fixed will make you ill. All of that said, the staff is friendly, the room refresh is a B- considering the location and brand so passable but could be better, and the hotel has a pool and hot tub. Breakfast is average for similar hotels. If the incompetent franchise owners (who I hope lose their Mariott flag) don't fix this, the building maintenance man - if you get a good front desk attendant - can turn off the management of the thermostat allowing you to use as any other. Demand this if you freeze. I'd like to give this hotel more than 1 star as the staff is mostly great, but people need to beware.

We are Marriott Elite Members. So trying to be as fair as possible. Rooms are ‘roomy’. Nice kitchenette. Do not stay on first floor. So noisy and the smell of cooking breakfast is bad! The tub was dirty and had hair in it. And the shower curtain liner is like, really?! They cut the bottom to make it look new. They just cut the dirty end rather than replace them. What does that cost, like $5 each? Buy in bulk! Gross! Also, if you can put up with noise, this is a not a bad place to stay. Walls and floors are not very solid. The older gentleman on Saturday morning accommodated is. He was a real gentleman. Perfect Host. Fast forward to check out day. We called to complain about someone in the next room playing loud music and making all kinds of racket in the next room at 4:00 am. Finally stopped around 6:00. Woke up late, asked for a later check out and she said, “NO. Check out is at 11:00.” This was Monday, Feb 18. She was bit short and curt. Will not be coming back here! Giving this one a ‘two star’ because of no later checkout.

stayed at SpringHill Suites Milford this past weekend. It was quick turn and burn trip. Admittedly I haven’t been there since July of 2020. Staying at a hotel post COVID-19 has gotten pretty much back to normal and restrictions have been listed. Rates are higher as the cost of business and inflation rise. At any rate, I got there right at check in time Friday June 7th. Every time I am in a new city, I seek out the Marriot properties, so I know what I am getting into. This location is at least 20 years old, and the décor matches some in , Detroit, MI and Albany, NY I have stayed at. It has a nice look and the corporation probably has done market research to see what colors are comforting to travelers. The desk person said it was renovated 7 years ago.| |This location and our room were quiet, which is usually my biggest concern anywhere I stay. It’s probably the biggest thing. The room was very clean, and it looks as if extra effort to make sure everything was in stock in the microwave/ refrigerator area. I booked one room, 203 which is the King Suite. I think it was the same room I stayed in 2008 but it has been renovated since. I wasn't sure but it looked that way. The girl at the desk told me the elevators were out and were being repaired. I only had one flight of stairs so it wasn't a big deal. Plus, the room was near the stairwell. The bathroom was very nice with the normal amenities. There was a little wear and tear but the amount of traffic in the hotel accounts for it. It wasn't a big deal. The newest thing was the shampoo , body wash and condition bottles attached to the inside of the shower. I forgot that I had seen that before at another Marriott property. I like that feature better than the small bottles they used to provide. ||The TV was working well and no problem with the Marriott WiFi.. I didn’t use the pool and gym but I think they were open but I didn't have time to check it out because I was busy that night in New Haven. | |Breakfast was great and all weekend the staff had it well stocked and were very conscientious of keeping it that way. The only thing I didn't like was the Jehovah Witness bothering everyone that was trying to get food at the continual breakfast. i realize that isn't the staff's fault. I was impressed with staff operating in the hotel. Everyone was pleasant and seemed busy anytime I looked. They also had a new bar there open till 11 which I didn't remember in previous stays there. This is a nice facility and definitely consider it if you need a...

Aside from pretty bad coffee, the hotel can be much better managed by paying close attention to the needs of their long-time Marriott members and by improving their overall services during busy weekends and hot summer days.

Management is lacking in three areas: Front desk staff - experience greatly varies from person to person. I was not impressed with my check-in representative but very grateful to the one who took my call on the morning of my arrival. Because of her I had a quiet room reserved for me otherwise I would be place in the noisy part of the hotel. Housekeeping could be improved by cleaning bathrooms more thoroughly. I wished that housekeeping people would not adjust the termostat to a higher setting when they come in every morning. It did not feel good to come to stuffy room every time when it is close to +40 degrees C outside! Breakfast was a problem. I went there on my first morning (on Saturday) - the hotel was full. All I wanted some decent yogurt, fruit and hot serial. Only bananas were available. No signs of any other fruit being served. Yogurt was only low-cal and cheap brand. Empty pot of the hot cereal was still present. I asked the lady who was serving breakfast if more was available. She brought it out in 10 minutes. She was not looking for me to tell me that it was ready. The hot cereal was not eatable as it was not cooked, just some hot water poured over the oats. I went to my room and did not come for breakfast next day (Sunday) as well as on Monday as I feel that it would be the same mess. To my surprise when I came down on Tuesday., the picture was completely different. A good breakfast was served to much smaller crowd staying in the hotel after the weekend. The set up was much more generous. There were plates of 4 (!) types of fruit, 2 additional types of good yogurt were available. Hot cereal was properly cooked as well as cold cuts and cheese were added. Great abundance comparing to the meager choices over the weekend. Perhaps, it could be explained by different people being in charge of this service on weekdays and the presence of the hotel manager. But coffee was still very very bad.

Attention to those in charge of Marriott survey: when posting my review I checked "I would not recommend this property" but was allowed me to keep it checked. In order to post this survey I have to keep it unchecked so it appeared that I recommend this property. Make sure you adjust so Marriott gust can voice their...
