My beloved aunt was like a second mother to me. She wore a ruby ring every single day. She passed away unexpectedly on July 11th of 2014 just shy of her 50th birthday on the 30th. After she passed I inherited her ring and I have worn it every single day to keep her with me. I am not exaggerating when I say this ring is the most important thing I own.

I came to Kirk and Co. With my grandmother to resize and fix her old engagement ring from her first marriage to my grandfather who is suffering from cancer and in hospice care. She offered to turn the diamond from the old ring into something new, as a birthday gift to me, but I loved the vintage style of the ring and the significance to my family, even though my grandparents are both happily remarried. When we brought my grandmother's ring in I also asked Brandon to look at my aunt's ring to see if the gems were in danger of falling out, the gold surrounding them was very worn and the ring was very bent.

I was happy to have my grandmother's ring resized, but felt uneasy leaving my aunt's ring. I called the shop back later and asked for a quote on fixing her ring as well, which he happily provided over the phone. Kirk and Co. Took excellent care of both of these pieces and I just picked them back up safe and sound and sparkling! The workmanship is excellent and I believe he has saved and preserved my rings for many years to come. I am so happy with the results, the rings look brand new and the gems are safe and secure.

I asked on Reddit for a jeweler that could design a highly customized engagement ring for my girlfriend (spoiler alert: now my fiancé!), and I'm so glad Kirk & Company was recommended!

I was able to walk in with a (very) vague idea and walk out with a ring that has been the center of attention amongst her family, friends, and colleagues!

The entire team walked me through sketches, CAD renderings (and several revisions), wax molding and finally production and always paid close attention to what I was trying (sometimes not very well) to describe; obviously, they offered their professional suggestions along the way, but kept my design ideas at the center of their discussion.

Obviously, this wasn't a cheap endeavor, but the price range was quoted up-front and updated at several points as we discussed metals, stone sizes, details, and so on - and actually the final price ended up being on the lower end of the initial quote, so certainly satisfied there!

Perhaps the only improvement I could even possibly suggest would be a more realistic timeline of the entire process and/or more consistent updates on where the process was. From first conversation to walking out with the ring took about 5 months; to be fair though, I was in no hurry and did explicitly tell them on many occasions that I had no deadline to work with - so not a complaint by any means.

For my husband’s birthday I wanted have a ring he received from his parents for his high school graduation reconditioned. It needed to be a size and a half larger, the stone needed polished as you could no longer see the star in it, and it needed a thorough cleaning. I remembered this great idea the day before his birthday. I also wanted both of our wedding rings cleaned and checked, have mine soldered together and to go up one size on his. I was sad I had forgotten and thought if they could get it ready I would give it to him for Fathers Day. I went to Kirk & Company Jewelers in Milford since they were highly rated and WOW, now I know why. They were all working together to see how they could make the miracle happen, they gave no promises but I left with my fingers crossed. I received a text at 1:00 the next afternoon that all three items were ready for pick up. Unbelievable! This was on a Saturday and less than 24 hours after I dropped them off. Obviously I am now one of their many fans, the quality of the workmanship was outstanding and they made a 66 year old man shed a happy tear on his birthday.
