A Five-Star Shopping Experience at Bloomingdale's Short Hills 🇺🇸 My recent visit to Bloomingdale's at the Short Hills Mall was an absolute delight, resulting in a perfect patriotic purchase that will be cherished for years to come. From the moment my wife and I stepped inside, we were treated to the innovative, high-end shopping experience that Bloomingdale's is known for. The store's atmosphere is impeccably organized and showcases a wide variety of high-quality brands and products. We explored the various collections, from classic home goods to modern apparel, and were particularly impressed by the tasteful and distinctive selection. The staff was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive, offering assistance without being overbearing. It was in the sweater department that we found a true treasure: a beautiful sweater adorned with an American flag. 🇺🇸 As a veteran who served with the 110th Military Police Company, and an author who honored family military history with Uncle Matty Comes Home, this was more than just a sweater; it was a powerful symbol of our family's heritage. It was a fitting finale to a great day out together. Beyond the perfect purchase, the service was truly exceptional. The entire experience was a refreshing reminder of the quality and flair that defines Bloomingdale's. For anyone seeking a top-notch shopping experience, with excellent selections and customer service, the Short Hills Bloomingdale's is second to none. Sincerely, Jim Farrell Author of Uncle Matty Comes Home 📚🇺🇸 #Bloomingdales #ShortHillsMall #AmericanFlag #VeteranStories #UncleMattyComesHome #Patriotism #ShoppingExperience #FiveStarReview #USA #ProudAmerican

This company is HORRIBLE. Bloomingdales makes you do nothing but CLEAN, and CLEAN hundreds of pieces of clothing daily. I have learned absolutely nothing working here. The stress and anxiety that this place offers is unexplainable. I have never in my life encountered severe chest pains before. While working here, the immense pressure cause physical harm to my body. A few of my co-workers had already suffered from severe anxiety issues, but Quit after realizing that this company actually worsened their anxiety. Clothes are all over the floors everyday. Fitting rooms are a complete disaster, as you are not allowed to tell customers they can only carry in a certain amount. Bloomingdales allows their customers to carry all 30 pieces of clothes into fitting rooms each time. Bloomingdales only cares about the customers.....and NOTHING about their employees. Beware.

So I dress rather modestly, & by that I mean I am often confused with DoorDash delivery men when I walk into my apartment building. Not to knock hardworking delivery guys, it's just, I live here. I'm constantly saying, you know me bro! If there were actual security, I'd imagine I'd have gotten denied entry at some point. It doesn't help that my beard is a worse version of Keanu's patchiness in that it just looks bad. So combine that with my daily work clothes & you can see that I'm always in dire need of fashion assistance.

The first time I shopped at Bloomingdales was sometime before COVID. I walked into the store & nervously asked for help. I was fully aware of how disheveled I looked. The griminess radiated off me as I fully expected a Pretty Woman scenario mixed in with a cartoonish act of someone literally kicking me out the front door. To my surprise, a lady immediately smiled at me & said she was of course happy to be of assistance.

I told her I shopped once a decade. It was a slight exaggeration, but not by much. I generally walk into a department store & grab whatever generic items catch my eye & head home. In this case, I had a date, & it was due time for a new wardrobe. I explained this all while smacking the side of my jeans as I tried to secretly smack the dust particles off. I tried my best to ignore it & not cough.

The sales lady kindly guided me through my cloud of soot into each area of the men's section. She picked out button down shirts, fancy jeans, & a leather jacket. She encouraged me to try them on & I did, feeling immediately like James Dean. That's when I started to realize why people shop. It felt really cool. I felt better about everything, except for the fact that I'd have to put my work clothes back on. Yeesh, I thought, I'll look for a matchbook later.

So I opened up a Bloomingdales card & rewards account. It was all easy & straightforward. I had an issue with my credit score at the time & was delighted to see that I was approved for a generous credit limit. I used that to fully upgrade my closet & go out on my date.

Fast foward to Christmas of 2023. I still walked around in a cloud of dust & sweat while I worked, but I now had a drawer/closet full of great high quality clothing for my leisure time. The only thing that was missing was a great, look at me I'm rich watch! So obviously I needed a Rolex. Sadly, I'm not rich. So this Christmas gift for myself would need to be creative, but luckily, I had Bloomingdales in the wings.

The men's jewelry department had a friendly sales rep. He didn't mind going back & forth as I was incredibly indecisive. The rolex's just didn't look cool enough to warrant the price. Fortunately, he got to know me & started to understand what my style was & what would truly impress me. He asked me if I liked Breaking Bad, I answered who doesn't? He then pulled out a Tag Huer Monaco watch & explained that this is the watch Walter White gets from Grey Matter. I explained to him that I was never a fan of square watches, but the simple yet bold look was incredible. I was sold.

We walked over to his register & he ran my card. Not only did he go out of his way to make sure I got all the available discounts, but he helped explain when & when not to use the famous Triple Point days. He was careful to help me in that & I ended up with that, look at me I'm rich watch without having to go sell Meth. To this day, every time I wear this watch, I am always complimented.

Bloomingdales took me in when I was living like a pauper & dating whomever was able to look past my patchy Aladdin type jeans. Even though I'm not affluent enough to lobby for congress, I still feel like I'm too cool for school. I even managed to snag a knockout fiance, which I'm pretty certain Bloomingdales had a hand in. What I do know for sure is that I'm no longer being stopped by the Concierge, & for that I have you...

Will never buy from Bloomingdale's again. We saw the Blair 2 piece sectional couch in person and ordered it in black velvet fabric, stated to be 100% cotton. Saw the swatch in store. The fabric on the couch received WAS NOT the same. It is made of polyester and cotton. Polyester in velvet gives the fabric a shiny look. However this is not what we expected or paid for. We expected the 100% cotton that was stated as the velvet fabric. We would not mind the fabric however, the polyester has been shedding like crazy from the couch for months. I vacuum the couch at LEAST once a week and the shiny polyester threads are still shedding. We currently keep the entire couch covered in blankets to minimze the poly threads shedding everywhere otherwise the threads get all over our clothes and also itch our skin. Bloomingdale's sent a specialist to look and document but nothing can be done. No refund, they won't take couch back. They say it's because of "preference". What preference? Like I said, the swatch we were shown did not match the fabric we received. For a 5K couch you'd expect better quality and not bait and switch tactics and such horrible quality. We have other velvet furniture from stores like ABC that was similar in price and is high end superior quality. What a shame on Bloomingdale's to trick customers. Other than the fabric we like everything else about the couch but for the price of this couch and the terrible quality you get, they should be selling this couch for 500$ not $5,000. Never again will we give a dime to this store. Extremely, extremely disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere. Never buy furniture from...
