My husband bought me Gucci slides for Christmas a couple of years ago, but they didn't fit, so I returned them to Gucci and received a gift card in exchange. As I recall, I asked the salesperson whether the gift card would expire, and they told me that it would never expire. The salesperson wrapped the receipt around the gift card and placed it within a black gift card envelope. In 2024, I decided to use my gift card at Short Hill Gucci in New Jersey and was informed that the card had been reissued and my card was no longer valid. In any case, the card was returned to another individual who claimed it... I was very confused as to how the sales person could have given me a card with someone else's name on it, but I returned it immediately after Christmas so I assumed it was just an honest mistake. The Gucci store at Short Hills mall provides me with the name of the person who received my gift card. The name was the same as that of my childhood friend, so I contacted her to inquire about the card, but she had never visited Gucci. My friend reached out to Gucci and tried to resolve this confusion on my behalf after numerous calls to the headquarters and different sales representatives/ managers promising to send us a new card I was told I do not own the card and they can no longer discuss this matter with me.. Excuse me! So I asked if my husband can request a new card ( since her purchase the original gift) and I was told that he to no longer has ownership to the gift card and the owner is a lady with the same name as my childhood friend that lives in New York. The manager at Gucci claimed to have called her and she verified that the card was hers(although I have the original receipt of the exchange gift and the original gift card). The people at Gucci refused to even track the card from the original purchase day to when it was returned. So I now understand that Gucci is a awful brand and I wouldn’t advise anyone to spend their money there nevertheless get a gift card from them . They refuse to do their job. $1,000 is a lot to loose but not enough to pay for the anxiety and stress I endured attempting to get my gift card back! DO NOT SHOP AT GUCCI! Read moreMy fiancé and I started off in line outside and then we were greeting in line by a young lady who asked us why we were here. We informed her to see belts for men and women. We waited another 15 mins in line and another lady with a floral print dress greeted us and allowed us to enter the store and told us someone while help us when they get free. We went straight to the men’s belt section and waited another 10 mins. Then we moved towards the women’s belt section and waited another 15 mins and no one helped us. At this point we noticed that several individuals who were behind us in line were being helped. That was when my fiancé went to the front of the store and informed a gentleman who was in a black suit with glasses what had happened and we were still waiting to be helped. He then told a gentlemen to help us while helping an another couple. We continued to wait as he was helping the other couple as well. He provided me a size of the belt I was looking for but in a different sized buckle. We again then waited and saw a lady who was free and told her she can take the woman’s belt back and that we needed help with the men’s belts. We walked over to the men’s belt section and she moved towards the front of the store and completely ignored us. She then proceeded to help another family. At this time it was approx 345pm and we were beyond frustrated to be at this location. This is very unprofessional and disrespectful to any customer coming to this store.
