When My Wife & I lived in CORRY, PA We would come up to ERIE for a Day. 1 of the STOPS we would make was at PRESQUE ISLE STATE PARK & then We would stop at the "WEST ERIE PLAZA" afterwards. DAIRY QUEEN was a favorite of ours bc of the GREAT Ice Cream Treats. Their Hot Fudge Sundaes are 1 of My favorites & My Wife loves their Strawberry Sundaes & the Chocolate Dipped Cones. We also would go to the "PLAZA THEATRE" for a Saturday Afternoon movie. In later years we would bring our kids up to ERIE & stay at the EL PATIO MOTEL. A lot of MAJOR CHANGES are Happening at the "WEST ERIE PLAZA" & these CHANGES are for the GOOD. W/ New Stores Coming In & New people MOVING UP to ERIE, It's kind of a 2nd Renaissance for that Section of the City. W/ New Restaurants moving in & Clothing Stores becoming a part of the PLAZA'S LANDSCAPE, More Business Owners will want to become of the directory. The "WEST ERIE PLAZA" needed a MAJOR OVERHAUL bc the ENTIRE Shopping Center was FALLING APART. The Stores were OLD & OUTDATED & Shoppers were going ELSEWHERE for their Shopping Needs. CELL-FONE Stores, Updated KIDS Clothing Stores, LOW-COST Toy Stores & OTHER TYPES of Specialty Stores are the BIG THING too. Once the "WEST ERIE PLAZA" is COMPLETED, Then Shoppers WILL FORGET the OLD & ENJOY...

West Erie plaza use to be a happening plaza back in day, but the last couple of decades have been hard on the plaza. I was very bummed out that they decided to demolish the movie theater instead of renovating it. It was a sad moment when I watch them tear down to theater. It was losing a piece of History. And when the Public Library moved out of the Plaza was also a bummer. I've only gone to the pet store so far and I like that store. The employees are very nice, helpful and friendly. They have some great deals going on there. I hope the best for the West Erie plaza and that all the renovations wouldn't be a waste of...
Read moreIt is just amazing what they have done with the place! I might miss the theater and Hyatt's restaurant but the variety of businesses that have come or are coming to the plaza is great. You have a planet fitness gym, Claytopia, Icing on the Lake (which sells the most Amazing cupcakes) and so many more! Earlier this month the they hosted an event Gears and Grubs which featured local food and lots of cool cars. But one of my favorite features of the West Erie Plaza is the electric...
