What a unique playground! The equipment here is in great shape, and has something for kids of every age. The overall theme is the sea, so there are climbable props of a whale, a crab, even a skull-shaped pirate cave. The larger play equipment has a lighthouse tower leading to a large spiral slide, while another part is in the form of a ship: the Millville’s Pride.
There are several types of swings: the normal ones, the classic baby style, two with a pull down restraint (I assume for children with disabilities), and one unique swing with both a baby seat and a standard swing plank. My 2 year old and I had a great time riding it together. It’s something I’ll miss at every swing set from now on.
There are almost too many play stations to list. Keeping with the theme there are several ships’ wheels, and gun ports. There’s also some puzzle stations near the picnic area, and maybe coolest of all: a drum station.
Other amenities include a public bathroom, a little free library and dog waste stations. There is ample shade, especially at the many picnic tables near the restrooms. There are many nice benches scattered around, but unfortunately these are usually in full sun.
At the time we visited, the parking lot was under construction, but there was plenty of temporary parking in an adjacent field. There was at least one bike rack as well. This place is well...
Read moreThe park itself is very cool, breazy, kept up with and very unique. We had a good time for the first 5 minutes until 2 of the local mothers showed up with their kids that they deemed to be better than ours. They wouldn't allow their kids to speak to or play with my daughter, and once I finally told her to play on her own the mothers kept following us around different areas of the park with their children who obviously really wanted to play, and glaring at us until we were finally uncomfortable enough to leave. This park has the absolute ugliest vibe I have ever been to and if I knew which mothers to tell y'all to avoid I would. This was a key stop on our road trip and I wish we had skipped it, I hope no ones child is ever made to feel the way this park...
Read morePickleball at your own risk. The locals run the court and make up the rules as to how the courts can be used, for what use and for what period of time. Tried to bring my family to play while on vacation but under no circumstance was there a scenario where the 4 of us could get on at the same time. There are three courts and they create snake play where all are always in use in perpetuity. At least they’re also rude when they...
