I would like to know why I was told by the checkout clerk that I couldnāt purchase over-the-counter alka seltzer without identification.
While my initial rating was a one star I would like to amend. Corporate contacted me. The store manager contacted me explaining this was corporate policy. Purchasing the Alka Seltzer is age restrictive. As a 77 year old senior I question at what age would I not be required to show identification. Apparently age doesnāt matter as everyone is required to show identification. I asked if Tylenol required identification. Probably not. I find Corporate Policy to be ludicrous as Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu and Tylenol are the same drug under a different name. Alka Seltzer is 350 mg of acetaminophen while each tablet of Tylenol is 500 mg of acetaminophen. I can understand other Flu medications containing alcohol require identification . I was able to purchase my Alka Seltzer at another grocery store without ID. Bottom line is that I shop where I can purchase all my needs. I do give Weis Markets a high rating for getting in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went for a propane exchange and the front end manager was so rude. She yelled at me from a distance away for bringing my propane tank to the store for an exchange. I did not know what the protocol was for a propane exchange and she could have nicely said āwe donāt allow propane tanks in the storeā I refused to buy the propane and instead bought it at the Giant across the street. I wanted to talk to the store manager but she said he was not in and she was the M.O.Dā¦ā¦no wonder your store is never busy and most of your customers shop at Giant. People like this lady will let you loose customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the Weis store in Millville, DE. The store is always clean and very well stocked. Jo Ann works and I believe manages the self-checkout section. Jo Ann is second to none. She is extremely knowledgeable. She guides each customer through the self-checkout section with ease. She is always extremely kind and friendly. She puts up with a lot of nasty customers (I have witnessed this) and yet she still continues to be gracious.
I certainly hope that Weis will give special recognition to Jo Ann for the exceptional employee that she is. Thanks Jo Ann!!! ...
