Beard's Plaisance is one of the city’s oldest parks. A tiny parking lot is available down at the tennis courts on the Lake Harriet Pkwy side, otherwise only road-side parking along Upton Ave. S. Here one can enjoy a well-kept playground/tot lot, tennis courts, picnic sites w/ grills, a huge pavilion for outdoor get-togethers, clean public restrooms, plenty of walking space & it's pet friendly. Met at the pavilion for a picnic to memorialize a friend. Plenty of old style wood picnic tables to set out a meal for group of 20+ & memorabilia. Electrical hook-ups available. Great place to fellowship in the hot summer - cool breeze from adjacent Lake Harriet. 🐕 Lots of folk walking their dog. 🏃🏼♀️Lots of kids enjoying the playground/tot lot.

Or you can park on Upton if you don't mind traffic driving by during a load/unload. Picnic structure is nice. Bathrooms were...
