So I went to Le Burger for the first time today. I asked the employee who was taking my order what some of the ingredients were with a specific burger and they didn't know anything about any of the ingredients. Soon I had at least four other employees helping her and not one single employee knew anything about one single ingredient. I ordered the mushroom burger without cheese, simple enough. I was looking forward to trying this beef that they rave about, after all this is going to cost over twenty dollars for a hamburger, coke, and fries.
What I ate was tasty, but when a employee came by I said I really could not taste the beef. Was it mixed in with the mushrooms?
She looked at me and smiled and said there is no beef with the sandwich I ordered. I said, yes there is, I ordered a mushroom burger, and the employee taking the order lead me to believe it was a burger with mushrooms.
So I paid over twenty dollars for a fried mushroom sandwich.
One would think if your going to charge as much as they do for their food that they certainly could have taken some time to train the employees selling their food.
I would warn anyone with allergies to some foods to completely avoid this restaurant. None of the employees know anything about the food they are serving and will guess at best to get you to move on so they can help someone else.
The only good news here, is the fact that there are many other places to get a great burger with employees who know what they...
Read moreI’ve heard good things about this place from my friends, saying that it was the best burger they have ever had, but I am one to disagree I ordered the le burger and the description was waygu beef patty, cheese, pickles, and le sauce. I sat down and it felt really packed together, in a sense where 2 chairs from opposite tables would bump into each other because the tables were so close in proximity. But when my burger finally came I was exited and eagerly took a bite but as i took the bite and oppressive taste of onions entered my mouth, and onions weren’t even an option to come on this burger. I sat there dissatisfied with the burger. I took off the bottom bun to find an entire layer of grilled onions, kind of like how McDonald’s does it. Then I figured I would get some ice cream and thought there was no way to mess it up right? But they somehow did it was vegan, and I’m not trying to be that guy but if I had a choice between regular and vegan ice cream I would wholeheartedly eat the regular ice cream . If you look to have get a burger like you ordered it or if you want actually good ice cream I would reccomend any place but here. The only good thing that I can say about this place are the kind employees. It’s one thing to mess up one order but to mess up 4 orders at my table seems a little lazy. Never really want to...
Read moreWhat a fun little place, I love it! The staff was very friendly and this may sound odd but, genuine? Family and I eat out a lot and we can usually tell when the staff is phoning it, trying to upsell us, or are just vibing; staff here were definitely vibing. Atmosphere was pretty laid back and casual, the music was bit too loud for my liking.
The food was amazing, we had Le Burger (oui oui?), L'oignion (spelling), pomme frites, chicken, chips and dip with caviar, and Le Coco ice cream. The burgers were shockingly good and reasonably priced in a sea of $20 mediocre burgers. The chicken was cooked well and seasoned beautifully, and my only compliant was the pomme frites that seemed a bit too oily.
The highlight of our meal were the chips and dip with caviar and Le Coco ice cream. The chips and dip were pretty expensive at $42 and under normal circumstances we would never order something like this but we thought, "eh screw it, we've been fasting all day, let's treat ourselves to a fun novelty item" and gyat damn the flavours blew us away; insanely good. Le Coco ice cream ranked up there with some of the best ice cream we've had. The blend of vanilla, raspberry, and olive oil seems like a genius combination that I'm surprised this was the first time I've encountered it.
Will...
