Anyone whom loves-and appreciates a wooden toy will find a magnitude of joy within Heartfelt’s walls . My kiddo and I found this little gem one decade ago on a neighbourhood stroll to talk to a tree about a troll. It is down from the great harvest bread co and across from Sebastian Joe’s . In Linden hills. I loved the preschool weekly groups with my little one. THIS IS MY Favourite place IN THE ENTIRE CITY. Lisa is calm caring and supportive to anyone needing a village. She will allow you to pause and breathe and quite literally teach you how to make butter. And when you are ready you will feel the buzz of creativity surrounding this store each and every season. Wet wool felting . Forest bathing Butter with a jar and marbles Fall leaf lanterns. Tree house. Wood peg dolls to occupy all minds.
Heartfelt has taught me to slow down raising our kids and make memories together with our hands.
Truly a spectacular shop everyone...
Read moreSuper disappointed with the shop - brought my 14mo old in as the menu of options on the website includes some “all ages” projects. My little one LOVES to paint and color and I was so looking forward to using my holiday off from work doing a special activity with him. We were greeted pleasantly by the woman working the shop but when I mentioned we were interested in doing a craft together she laughed at us and asked how old my little guy is. She then said that the menu of projects on the website is misleading. It felt very condescending and we left the shop feeling shooed away. So bummed as we live nearby and had been hopeful this would be a regular spot for us. I fully recognize that little ones his age are harder to craft with but I know my kiddo and what he enjoys, and was fully prepared to do much of the crafting myself. So disappointed that the shop would treat an eager momma and hopeful kiddo in such a...
Read moreI took my daughter to Heartfelt a couple of times when she was 2. I was a little nervous because crafting with a 2 year old can be tricky, especially in public. We made pumpkin homes for a peg-gnome that we also made there. We so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, both times. It was so much fun playing with her with it and even after that pumpkin rotted, we still kept the gnome and tree bark bed we made. The thing though that I most took away from Heartfelt was how to craft with a toddler. Making the pumpkin home and watching the staff’s instruction to a young audience, and how they handled the kids and their parents as well as seeing how you could use pieces of nature to make really neat things was beyond inspirational. I will always remember Heartfelt for these experiences I gained. I could see shopping there for project ideas/supplies for a adult...
