Fades of Gray Inc. — Attraction in Minneapolis

Don’t recommend. New to the area so I was looking for a new barbershop. I walked into this barbershop and the guy in the middle station told me he can take care of me but from that point on the man was very rude and impatient. I was trying to explain what type of haircut I wanted because it was my first time going there, I told him I wanted a low bald fade but he tried to say that is two different styles which it’s not and I got confused and still confused about. Then when I tried to show him the picture of hairstyles on the wall and what the style I wanted looked like. Then he tried to argue that wasn’t the style I requested, but he stated in the beginning that the style I requested is two different styles which is why I showed him the picture (This Guy was very Confusing). Then I told him just to cut my hair like it was on the pic but make the fade just a little lower then it was on the pic. Then he said that he doesn’t want to cut my hair no more because he had to go back and forth with me about the style I wanted when all I was trying to do was explain because I’m a new customer and that’s what you do when you deal with a new barber, then he snatched the salon gown off me real aggressively. I explained the hair cut in a very simple manner and I think he just didn’t want to cut my style of hair because I have straight thick hair and pretended to act slow then make an excuse after to get out of working with me Or he was just plain mad and having a bad day. Then who I believe is the owner of the establishment told me to sit down and wait for another barber and I was like naw I’m out of here ! If you can’t even take the time to make sure I’m getting what I pay for an making sure I’m satisfied, you probably won’t do a exceptional job ! I went to another barbershop up the street and they did a great job.

I don’t smoke at all and was not on high marijuana, I had just moved to Minneapolis that same exact day and had just drove 18 hours from Houston so maybe my eyes were red from being tired. I had pointed directly to the picture of the hairstyle I wanted after he was acting slow when I was trying to explain my haircut and when he saw me point to the picture, he should have cut my hair point blank period. I went to a Mexican barbershop up the street where they didn’t speak a lick of English and they had no issue cutting my hair the way I wanted so there is no excuse. He just didn’t want to cut my hair because he had an issue with me for whatever reason which was probably because he didn’t know how to cut my hairstyle. If he did want to decline service because he thought I was “High on Marijuana”, then that’s not a good enough reasoning to snatch off the barber gown angrily the way he did when I wasn’t rude at all with the barber. I am a grown man and that’s not how you address any grown person that’s not being rude towards you and instead he could of just said that he respectfully declines service instead of snatching the gown off aggressively and becoming hostile the way he did over something so minor. No excuse and you have low accountability on your end as an owner since you were right there and saw how he treated me for again something so minor. I also know first hand about certain barbers not wanting to cut my hairstyle because I’ve been to black barbershops where they have respectfully and honestly declined service because they weren’t comfortable cutting my hairstyle which you guys are also a black barbershop and that is ok if you guys aren’t comfortable with my hairstyle because my hair is super...

Thought I found the Barber of my Dream since a good Barber in Minnesota is hard to find. My first appointment went great he razor lined around my hair sponged it and everything. I mean just took awesome good care of my hair but as they say first impressions can be deceiving I went in for a second appointment for one he forgot that we had an appointment so it seemed like throughout the second appointment he had an attitude the whole time because he was rushing me out the chair didn't sponge my hair didn't razor line he didn't even take the care that he took with my hair the very first time I think that was just so unprofessional because I hadn't did anything wrong I can't help it because you forgot you had an appointment with me you forgot unfortunately I won't be going back there and I'm going to learn how to cut my own hair or find me another barber that's going to maintain the same professionalism with my hair as they did on my very first appointment and his name is Dre he does cut hair good I'll give him that but I just didn't like that second encounter there so I wish them the best in their business but I won't be a part of that business anymore As the saying goes everything that glitters...
