The HUB is an awesome thing. Great food and great coffee plus a great atmosphere for the homeless. Unlike many places designed to help the homeless there is no blatant drunkeness here and it doesnt feel like a jail, or rather its not dehumanizing. The pastor is a wonderful fella and Ian in parficular is an amazing barisya and theyre both great for having a conversation about ones spiritualiry or spirituality in general with. Theyre non denominational so they arent going to try and "convert you" which is great for me because i follow a traditional native american (Anishinaabe) spirituality while maintaining core Christian values and the story and teachings of Christ. I called there today after months and the pastor knew who i was by my voice immediately. I have this place to thank as it was instrumental in getting me out of homelessness by providing a safe warm environment for me and my young wife to make plans and concentrate our efforts on getting off the streets and starting our life together. It is essentially a Church located in a coffee shop and as well as being a place that is designed for worship it creates its worshipping everytime someone orders a latte chia tea with milk...
