The staff here are friendly, but this is a horrible repair shop. I would not recommend that you bring any devices here. I had an iPhone 11 that I brought in to get the screen fixed. The phone worked perfectly fine and the damage was isolated to just the cracked screen. Since bringing my phone in for repairs, I have had nothing but problems with it. Just a day after getting my phone back the first time, the screen stopped responding to touch events, Apple Pay no longer worked, and I was unable to make phone calls because the microphone was broken. I then brought in my phone a second time to fix these issues and they fixed the phone screen not recognizing my taps and the Apple Pay, but the microphone was still having problems. So I brought it in a third time. After dropping it off at 10:30 in the morning, I was told to wait about 3 to 4 hours for the repair And that I would receive an email when it was done. 5 o’clock came and I had still not received any email from Gophermods so I drove to the store to pick up my phone before they closed at 6. They were not done with my phone so I asked if I should just wait a few few minutes for them to finish or if I should come back right before they close at six and I was told to wait as it should only be five minutes. 50 minutes later I finally got my phone back and surprise, the microphone is not fixed. At this point, I am waiting to hear if I can get a refund on my initial repair so that I can just go buy a new phone.
Like I said, the staff here are very friendly, I just think that they are under trained and don’t have the technical expertise required to fix Apple products. Do not bring your devices here. It will cause a way bigger headache than it’s worth. Find a different repair shop, buy new, buy used, anything but Gopher mods.
EDIT: They called me today to pitch the idea of getting me a refund for my initial repair. They want me to bring in my phone for a fourth time so they can put the original broken screen and back back on it and I will pay $20 for the labor. That means after four trips to gopher mods I will have my original phone that I brought in with the cracked screen and I will be out $20. Certainly they did not think this was actually...
Read moreI sent in a Samsung GalaxyS3 to get the screen and sensor repaired. It cost $190. OK, not bad since its a lot more for a new phone. I get it back and it works, but there is a slight crack under the screen in the upper corner. Originally when the phone stopped working I was unable to see anything on the screen or under it since it was not illuminated. Anyways, the phone worked and it is used so I figure its prior damage unrelated to its operation. About 4 weeks later the phone completely goes blank but I can still hear tones and that I'm receiving messages and texts. Its the same problem from when I sent it in originally. It hasn't even been 30 days so I contact Gophermods and they set up a claim to repair it again. I then get a call informing me of the crack and how that will negate my warranty and I will have to pay $190 again!!!! OMG! So I explain to them how the phone came back that way and it worked so I didn't think anything about it. They take that to "the owner" and come back the next day with an offer to fix the phone at their cost...$100, plus tax. WOW! I did nothing here except pay them money to fix a phone they did not fix and then pay another $107 to fix it again. Their reasoning: UPS only has a 3 week claim period and I waited until after that so "they" are out the money they'd have gotten back in a claim. First of all, what a scam to UPS!!! Just send a broken phone and you can "claim" it was because of UPS, even though Gophermods sends packages in extensive packaging with a lot of protection. Good deal for them huh? Secondly, where is it posted that I need to report any scratch or crack on a used phone that didn't work and then does work, and with in a certain period of time?? I'm sorry that you won't be able to scam UPS out of your insurance money, thanks for screwing one of your customers over for it though!!!! Hope it was worth saving...
Read moreThroughout my years of owning an Iphone, I never had the phone crack or break on me. My Iphone 12, no cracks or anything, started acting up and would not charge with the type c or wireless due to water getting in it in the past so I decided to give this place a shot by purchasing an Iphone 12 pro there. I saw that it was in excellent condition online and went there and got it right away for $730 after taxes and warranty. I put on my old iphone case on there and added a screen protector on it as soon as I got home. Just 2 days of having the phone, the phone temperature went up while charging and I wasn’t able to use it for about 2-3 minutes. I’ve noticed the phone brightness flicker when the screen turns on sometimes. On the fourth day, I noticed a crack on the back on the iphone. I don't know how an “excellent” condition phone could have a crack like that. I did not drop it anywhere or misplace it and have someone step/sit on it. Upset, i went back to the place to talk about the faults of the phone and see if I could refund it and they said, “because of the crack, it voids the warranty and the phone must be in the same condition when bought for it to be returned.” I put my trust into gophermods but I guess this is what I get if I wanted to go cheaper right? For an extra $100 i would’ve got the Iphone 14 in perfect condition from apple Turns out my Iphone 12 can still charge. Only pro about getting the 12 Pro from here is that it has more storage and of course, the battery. I wouldn’t recommend buying any electronic from here unless you don't care about their...
