I'm a house manager with Metro Hope Ministries which is a long term faith based sober living program for men here in Minneapolis and we were at Peavey Park with a few other ministries and Twin Cities Outreach doing some outreach giving out clothes, toys, grilled burgers and hot dogs, and bibles to whoever needed anything just letting the community know what we are and what we do! It was a nice park with some nice playground equipment next to the pavilion we were using but unfortunately there was drug use around the park by some trees and bus stops which is sad with the kids running around possibly being exposed to such things! We prayed for a lot of people, played music, and shared testimonies of how God has worked...

It has basketball courts at one corner, empty space at second corner, childrens play area at third corner and sitting area at fourth corner. This forth corner facing crossing of Chicago Ave / E Franklin Ave is highly dangerous. Some people made their permanent living place, drinking alcohol and loud music. I was taking pictures of park to upload on Google maps. One guy come out from this place angrily, pushed me hard and snatched my mobile phone and broke it throwing against the concrete floor. I did online police complaint and never dared to go to...

There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a permanent grill, absolutely the latest and greatest playground equipment, and a nice soccer field with lights (albeit smaller than regulation size)! The only problem was parking. There is one dead end street off of Park Avenue that you can park on, otherwise fend for yourself in the rough neighborhood area. As soon as I saw a spot open up on the road off of Park, I moved my vehicle...see pic of semi-permanent looking homeless "home" on the street I had to park on until I could move when something...
