Salaam Barbershop — Attraction in Minneapolis

Decent haircut but Abdullah is a dishonest person and I won’t be coming here anymore. He takes card, normally I pay $35. $30 for the cut and $5 tip. Just now I got my haircut and had an appointment at 11:40. The haircut itself was ok but Abdullah was yelling in my ear on the phone and I had to sit in the chair for about 5 mins before he came over to start. I would still come back but it wasn’t a tip worthy haircut today. I give him my card to run and normally I say $35. I didn’t today and he is a bit taken aback and goes “any extra”. I said “not today”. And he goes “ok I am going to charge you $33 for the fees” which is clearly a lie. Credit card processing fees are 2-3% max. Not 10%. I just went along with it and called him out after he had ran my card. I won’t be returning unfortunately. I enjoyed the haircut and convenience of the appointments but the incident today just rubbed me...

All around amazing haircut experience. I have been coming to salam barber for 2 years now and have gotten close to 15 cuts. I don’t think there has been once where I was dissatisfied.

The best thing about getting my haircut here is that my hair continues to look good WEEKS afterwards. I usually go with a Cesar cut and the way that it grows out still looks very clean and professional.

Depending on the experience that you are looking for, Abdullah can provide it. If you are the type of person that likes to talk while getting a cut then he can hold a great conversation but also is great if you are more of the silent type.

I will continue to come back to get my haircut for the future and will happily support this...

I used to go to some other barber shops in Minneapolis- without having any good experiences. Most places have different barbers working every time you go back. Salaam Barber was just a few blocks from my house, so I thought I would try it. After I went for the first time, I've never gotten my haircut anywhere else.

Abdullah is by far the most skilled, experienced barber I've ever had cut my hair. The price is really good and the haircuts he gives are so great. Abdullah is very friendly and open. I always look forward to going to get my haircut here and watching National Geographic channel with him. Or were we watching the news? 😂...
