Have you ever been in a rush to get a haircut so you choose a random place in the hopes that it will all work out? You walk in and something feels just a bit off. The walls are lined with rows and rows of antique puppets and the place smells vaguely of burnt plastic. Before you can turn and head back to your car, the barber beckons you to his chair and you awkwardly sit down. "Just a trim," you mutter. As the man begins your haircut you begin to notice the way his eyes dart around the room and the beads of sweat on his forehead. He begins to tell you his life story beginning in 1972. He tells you the sordid tale of how his wife is taking him to small claims court for spending their retirement money on puppets. Now you are beginning to feel even more uncomfortable but you are much too polite to simply leave. What's more, he is cutting your hair much shorter than you'd planned and there's no way you can leave with a job half done. Suddenly he becomes angry. "SHE WON'T PULL MY STRINGS! THERE AIN'T NO STRINGS ON ME!" He is now wide eyed and violently snipping at the air above his head. "Is he talking to you or the puppets?" you wonder. Now you're actually beginning to feel unsafe. Curse your Midwest sensibilities! If only you had what it takes to walk out. And then............it happens. "I'M NOT YOUR PUPPET DEBORAH!" He screams. You cower in fear but his scissors snip off the upper portion of your ear. You run from the shop, ear in hand, bleeding profusely and with a haircut that makes you look like some sort of medieval monk. How could things have gone so wrong? Well, it's probably because you didn't go to Sport Clips. Specifically Sport Clips at the Quarry! Ask for Veronica cause she's the best! She cut my hair once and I immediately got the girl, a promotion, and was welcomed into high society! Before I had zero friends. She is truly a master of her craft. So if you want to keep your ears AND have your life fixed in every way, go...
Read moreExtremely unprofessional staff. My first and only time at a Sports Clips and we had a terrible experience. We unknowingly showed up 15 minutes before closing and a blonde stylist rolled her eyes and asked if we checked in. She then started talking with the other staff and they looked so annoyed and a staff member rudely told us to quickly sign in and she reiterated that they close in 15 minutes. I felt so offended that I just responded “don’t worry about it” and left.
A) You still were open for 15 minutes. You technically should not be upset if people come in during business hours, especially when none of your stylists seemed to be busy. None of them were working on clients at the time.
B) We were not greeted kindly or professionally.
I understand it can be annoying to have people come in as you’re preparing to close, but you should do a better job at understanding that you are open until you...
Read moreI recently tried this place out and will not go back again. The lady that cut my hair was really nice but not the best at cutting hair. She missed lots of places around my ears and on the back of my head. When I got home I could really tell how much she had missed. I rarely leave reviews but I got an email asking me to tell them what I thought. After leaving my review I get a call the next day from the lady that cut my hair. If I wasn't happy with the hairstylist why would the company let her read my review and then give her my phone number? I mean do you really want the person you complained about having your phone number? I don't and I don't think anyone else would so why did this company give her my phone number. She didn't do a good job to begin with so why would I want her touching my hair again? Anyway this place is horrible for protecting their customers info and I will...
