Thomas Lowry Park — Attraction in Minneapolis

Pleasant, peaceful, quiet little neighborhood park. Very close to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts museum, like an 8 min walk one way. I was driving through town with my dog and it was the perfect quiet place to sit and enjoy my takeout lunch and for him to take a little break before walking down to the museum’s sculpture park and not deal with their parking. A great place to relax for a stroll or a quiet lunch. The surrounding neighborhood is very safe if you bring your little ones with lots of small, man made waterfalls for them to see. The reason I rate it 4 stars is because on my last visit an irate raccoon was sipping water from the pond and attempted to bite me as I passed by but thankfully he gave up the chase after a minute. Beautiful little park. There’s a very nice, large shade structure (pergola?), benches, and a man made stream through the middle of it. Surrounded by beautiful houses with a glimpse of the downtown Minneapolis skyscrapers.
