I grew up going here, and it was a pleasant experience. It has defined become more queer-friendly in the past decade than it once was. It still feels very upper-class church vibe.
I like the outreach programs they have with the AgGrad program with Haiti and their community meals. They also partner with the thrift store formerly known as Steeple People, currently known as Old School, which sells thrifted items for actual thrifty prices. It's all volunteer-led.
Church feels slightly overwhelming at times. As someone with a sensory disorder, it is both large and echo-y. The floor is all smooth tile, and it's chilly year-round in there. It's not very full in the Summer and Spring months, but it gets much busier closer to the school year.
It's also very God-oriented. I'm not sure if recovery meetings are held there, but there are some at Saint Mark's (legit the next block), and that church feels very welcome in comparison.
