Without a doubt, Dunn Brothers Coffee at Loring Park in Minneapolis is a hidden gem. This coffee shop came highly recommended as one of the top three coffee spots in the Minneapolis area, and it did not disappoint.
The pricing is competitive with other local cafés, but it's the ambiance that truly sets Dunn Brothers apart. While unassuming from the outside, the café interior is unexpectedly spacious and inviting - a surprise that makes the discovery even more enjoyable.
However, newcomers should note that the café can be easy to miss due to its understated exterior and lack of dedicated parking. Street parking is available, but can be slightly confusing for first-time visitors.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the quality of the food and drinks more than makes up for it. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee, a place to study, or a cozy spot for work-from-home sessions, Dunn Brothers Coffee provides an exceptional environment to suit your needs.
One small suggestion would be for the café to improve its exterior signage to make it more inviting and easier to locate. Nevertheless, once inside, you'll find the experience wholly satisfying. In my view, Dunn Brothers Coffee rightly deserves its top spot amongst Minneapolis coffee shops and is a must-visit for locals and...
Read moreI've been a customer of this coffee shop for a few months now (I'm semi new to the area) and I've always enjoyed my time here. The store is clean, the coffee is great and the baristas are wonderful! Some of the best in the area, in my opinion. However, today I witnessed one of the girls deal with a difficult customer and I was really impressed with how well she handled it. I was waiting in when I heard the difficult customer make a scene about an issue she had in regards to her last visit. This woman was so nasty, continuously raised her voice at the girl working and threatened her a few times. The barista never once raised her voice and spent a lot of time with this customer to try and make things right. I worked in the customer service industry for many years and always had a hard time biting my tongue, especially when customers were horrible and inconsiderate like this woman was. If it was me, I would have started yelling back at her. Even though this is a local coffee shop, the girl handled it like a real professional.
When I got my drinks, I made sure to tell the red headed barista who was working that her co worker did a good job. I will definitely be coming back even more than...
Read moreOmg. I can't believe I was told to leave or else we will call the police. I came in around 2 in the afternoon, settled it with my stuff. As I was getting my computer out and plugging it to the power a woman comes to me and says sir you have to buy something or else leave. I said please give me a minute to settle and I will. Few secs gone by, another one comes and says sir you have to leave or I will call the police. I told her I'm a long time customer and I will buy coffee as soon as I feel the need to get one, why are you pressuring me to buy one?? The worst experience of my life. They pretended they called the police but they didn't. I told her to call the police and I will wait. As of right now, am outside waiting until the police comes. See the place is full of white people and I think my dark complexion was an issue there. America was always a racist place but I didn't know buying a coffee was this cruel. I wouldn't even give the one start if I could. Come to find out, there another customer who happens to be black was also told to leave. Xenophobia has place in every aspect of the...
