Google Pixel Pro 9 (Under Warranty) with tempered glass and I don't use my phone without a solid phone case.
Staff was nice. Quality of work in my personal experince poor.
Primary Issue: Green and Pink lines on the screen.
One issue, multiple visits each comes with a free oadded damage.
Visit #1: Aug 16th Can you fix my screen there are two lines on screen after charging teh phone. They said screen needs to be replaced. Also told me that I will lose by tempered glass and that's not covered. I had a spare at my home. So I decline the offer.
Visit #2 (same day): Aug 16th To collect my phone after I got the SMS saying phone is ready. Lines on the screen were gone, new screeen installed but there were a lot of scratches/nicks on the metal casing above the speaker and right side, damaged caused by the tool used to open the screen. Damage during repair Staff saw the issue called manager, manager said "we will replace it for free, but part needs to be ordered,ETA a week." I said that's fine, let me know once I arrives.
Issue after visit #2 : Damaged metal case due to screen replacement.
Visit #3 (same day) : Aug 16th As I reached home, and was installing the a screen for the new screen, I realized the screen has pop-up form bottom right side. I try to press that in, didn't work out. I went back to the store for the third time. They told me the glueing process might have correctly done. Told me wait and they fixed that issue.
Got a msg that part arrived on 20th Aug
Visit #4: 29Aug I drop off my phone to replace the metal casing.
Visit #5 (same day) :29Aug Case was replaced. Case looks fine no issue. BUT this time they 'somehow' got 2 scratches on the new tempered glass (that I installed on 16th aug) that cannot be missed in the day light plus tempered glass was broke with a fine line as I checking throughly. Upon showing the damage to the staff, I was told that it might be there before I said NO, there was not any scratch. Let me check my notes the staff said. Then let me call my manager. After the call the staff said - We don't have a tempered glass but they can replace it with a vinyl cover that can be cut out by the machine in 5 min. I denied as I only use tempered glass for extra protection on my phone. And also I guess I had enough on this particular store, so thought it better to buy a tempered glass and installed it safey without damaging any other things...
Read morePositive: My phone was fixed and covered under Samsung warranty. Staff is also very nice.
Negative: I had to visit this location on three separate occasions before my phone was fixed. That was just annoying. On my first trip, I was informed that it would take 2 hours to re-push an update to my phone. The store closed at 5pm and it was 3pm. They were unable to do it that day because they were too busy testing other Samsung products. It would have been nice to prioritize the customer over testing other products for Samsung. But at least the Manager downloaded the software needed and had it ready for my next visit.
On my next visit the re-push of the update was not successful and they had to re-flash my phone. This erased everything on my phone and still didn't fix the issue. While I had my data backed up and have since reinstalled it all, the annoying part is still having to sign back into everything etc which is time consuming. And the fact that this just didn't fix the issue. They then advised that my camera had to be replaced. This was in my Galaxy S23 Ultra. However the parts were not in-stock and would take an additional 4 days to ship.
Finally, I was able to get back and have the Camera replaced while waiting another 2 hours. This thankfully fixed the issue!
While the staff working the front counter is nice, they are not very knowledgeable. I spent several hours in this place and literally every customer that comes through the door "may I take your phone/question to the back and check". So perhaps the staff is all new and it's a training opportunity, but almost seems pointless to have people working the front counter if they aren't able to answer any questions and everything you ask they have to run to the back and run by the manager for an answer.
Overall: Honestly, I am happy my phone is fixed which is what I came here for, but the experience/turnaround time just could of been better.
Also, I am more annoyed at Samsung for causing the issue I had by either selling me a defective phone or causing a glitch during the 8/30/23 update release. And Samsung's support via phone, chat, and members app was not at all helpful. But that issue is more directly with Samsung...
Read moreNot gonna lie, I looked up Asurion online before I came here and was expecting to be pretty upset. I read about Asurion on reddit and people HATED it, so I was pretty skeptical. I have Verizon coverage through Asurion on my phone, and I was on the brink of switching to Applecare because I was so sketched out. But I made an appointment anyways.
I was shocked. I went into the store expecting some lanky teenager trying to make a quick buck sitting behind the desk in some dinky little shop where his friends in the back would frankenstein my iPhone back into partial functionality. Nope. Super clean shop, well maintained, professional, and the guys clearly new what they were doing. AND they use Apple/Foxconn certified parts when repairing iPhones. I think this prevents warranty nullification if you try to trade your iPhone in. I verified when my Iphone restarted after the repair because it didn’t give me the “uncertified” parts warning.
Anyways, I was in and out within a day, and since I had verizon coverage I paid nothing. Phone feels literally brand new. No dead spots or weird pixel errors. The dynamic backlight still works too, so that’s a green flag in my...
