China Moon — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Maybe I just got the wrong thing? But I don’t think so. I got two things and they just didn’t taste like Chinese food. Let me preface this more: running an independent business is super hard and stressful and I don’t like adding more trouble to hardworking, probably kind folks with these bad reviews… but I gotta say something about this place, sorry, I don’t do this like …ever …but…I got Delivery and I should have listened to my instincts. I was hoping for a hidden gem of a place based on Grubhub reviews. Grubhub gave it nearly 5 stars. But this is not Xin Wong and this is not Tea House…this is, unfortunately just not good at all. I composted most of it, I’m sad to say (also something I never do—I never waste food like ever)…but the spicy garlic chicken tasted like leftover Famous Dave’s chicken.

Please go elsewhere…again, I’m sorry China Moon. I don’t mean to be rude— but his is probably the most disappointing dinner experience I have come across in the twin cities. I ordered from here earlier today through GrubHub and other than the delivery driver being nice and I got exactly what I ordered, which unfortunately for me, this was my first time ordering, was the most disgusting oily gross food I've ever tried and after trying with GrubHub to see if I could get refunded for the food from them, which I didn't think was going to happen, now that I'm done with GrubHub, I'm just going to throw that stuff out.

I'm not a healthy eater and I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews, I usually will give a restaurant a chance to make something right and if they surprise me and refund me for the food cost, as I'm not expecting to be refunded delivery charge or tip, I'll alter the review to show that.

But for someone in my case, where this food makes LeeAnn Chin's seem high quality and gourmet, and at least LC is less oily and has some flavor, I'd rather someone didn't waste money, time and be as disappointed as I was with my...

This is my first time writing a review for ANYTHING, but I felt this was important. My place of work has regularly ordered take-out from here for years and have really loved the service/food. I personally have never thought their lunch specials were anything to write home about, but their steamed pork dumplings are phenomenal... until recently. They have completely changed their dumplings and now they are comparable to the kind you can get frozen at the grocery store. The look, the taste, and ingredients have all changed without warning. We also normally get a free entree because we order so much, and this time the free entree was Sesame Chicken. It was TERRIBLE. By far the worst Sesame Chicken I have tried.
