Be careful booking a birthday party here. They will double book your time and give priority to the party that allegedly books first without telling you until the day of your event. This location can only seat 35 painters and booked 2 parties with over 24 children. My 3-5 year old guests required an adult to assist and we could not fit inside the venue since the other large party was given priority. We were then forced to move away from the one outdoor table owned by Color Me Mine, as the other party was also given priority reservations of that table for food, so we scrambled to put together tables and chairs owned by the center outside to make it work. Instead of providing an acceptable resolution, the manager claimed we "preferred" to sit outside and lied to us that parties are treated on a first come, first serve basis. While we were given a refund, my 5 year old and all her friendsâ projects will be thrown away. Lastly, Iâm not sure why the venue didnât charge me for all painters when I clearly communicated the total number of before the event. The mangerâs response is clearly a blatant lie as we arrived first and I can assure I never requested to sit on chairs and tables outside the neighboring restaurant that were not even owned or properly serviced by Color Me Mine. We did not âresistâ the poor treatment as we are professional and did not want to take our frustrations out on the staff when it was not their fault and they clearly communicated to us and the other party that the other party was going to be given priority. Save your money and the hassle and choose another location! Unfortunate that I cannot...
Read moreI have been to at least two other Color Me Mine locations, and this one is by far the worst! I brought in two little guys with me and thankfully, they are young and don't care too much about the finished products like my teens and adults, because they provided ZERO instructions for how to paint the products, in terms of layers, and correct, smooth coloring etc. They continually acted annoyed when we needed help. In fact, when I went back to pick up my pieces, I heard and mom and daughter, who had painted multiple LARGE pieces (I'm guessing an expensive visit), complaining how their pieces turned out. The staff member pointed to some sign that says how many layers to paint. There was no real apology or offering to make it up to them, offer them a coupon, NOTHING. And to be clear, this sign is not very noticeable, and is still unclear compared to a person providing instructions. For example, at another location, the person doesn't goes through and explains the process and even gives a demonstration and points to different pieces which have been done in different shades and degrees of opacity. This location has mostly young girls working who are NOT helpful and seem to not care less about the customers or the final products that are created here. If this were my first time visiting a Color Me Mine, I would never return. Thankfully, I know to STAY AWAY from this location. Hope you read this before you make the same...
Read moreI visited this shop on a Tuesday afternoon.. I let the assistant lady know that it was my first time visiting, and she calmly explained everything from prices to instructions on how to paint my piece for best results. I painted a piece with my 4y/o daughter. My daughter has autism and even though it was tricky to keep her put, the assistant was still helpful to us and to the other guests. Maybe it was a lucky day but this place gave a very nice first impression. I would go back because it had a nice environment.
Also I want to share that the pieces were a little too pricey in my opinion, but we have to consider their costs of material, curing process and location; and of course everyone has a different budget đ
I haven't picked up my piece yet since it's pretty far from where I live, but I'll update this review then. I hope this...
