Grenada is a great park if you are local. A large grass are, playground with sand, picnic tables. What it lacks is a bathroom. If that's a consideration, this isn't a good park for you.
Parking is curbside, there is no lot. If you have a large party and other people are there, parking disappears quickly.
If you have lots of people, try Stonehill Park located on Stonehill between the cross streets of Del Obispo and Camino Capistrano. It's a huge park to explore and connects with an SJC park. You can ride or walk to the beach using the bike trail if someone feels adventurous. There is water, bathrooms, basketball courts, a big playground with lots of stuff. There's even a very big dog park.
