I was a member for more than a year without "any problem" form my side. Some of the staff are great also very helpful and understanding but the owner's brother who runs the range is amazingly rude and nasty. No customer service with a bad retired cop's attitude combined. The last day I was in the range, I was picking up my own brass with permission and apparently he did not like it so he just came in and told me either to stop or he will cancel my membership!!! The guy doesn't even know the first rule in the business. He dose not know that the community of the members are the bread and butter of the business and his nasty attitude cannot help to educate people to obey the range's rules better. He dose not know that you cannot teach people by insulting them in public. After I was done I went to the next door and cancelled my membership immediately. When you signup they say that you have 10% discount on what you buy but that dose not include ammo, classes, targets and anything that I touched during my time there so what that imaginary discount should apply to, I don't know. Rules are hidden and are subject to change by person so whatever they do not like you to do or say it becomes a rule immediately. As member you are not privileged compare to none members when there is wait time and you have to wait for none members to go first. To shoot a rifle you have to get a rifle card from them. You have to go to a Sunday class and pay for it in order to receive you rifle card!!! They sell brass for reloading. Last time I purchased 4 bags of 223 brass, I broke 5 nails in my re-sizing die. They just forgot to get the stones out of the brass!!! *The lighting and ventilation in the range is extremely poor and during the summer. You could really feel that you are in Iraq, fighting the enemy with the hear over...
Read moreAvoid Frank, some old know it all that wont shut up and brags about his guns and skills to anyone dumb enough to listen to him. Ruined my range day. Its the shooting range not the talking range. So on my way out I complained and they are like "Yeah thats Frank he always does that" Leaving me like great, I spent $90 to listen to some obnoxious guy talk for an hour straight. Guy must breath through his ears cause his mouth did not stop talking. Out of the whole empty range the put me by a guy they already know is annoying any one he can. Must be the owners family or something IDK why they dont kick him out. Fine, their range their choice but why put me in the lane next to him. I didnt pay $90 to listen to someone brag about them self I paid to shoot. Prices are going up staff is getting bunk and they have a shark there whos mission is to bug everyone vs shoot. I use to love this place until today. I should have demanded to be moved but I figured after a few minutes he would shut up and then by the time I was ready to ask to be moved it started filling up and I only had maybe 30 rounds left so I sucked it up. If it was some random I wouldnt be as harsh in my review but because thats a regular they let harass everyone I cant give them 5 stars. Thats bad customer service. Shooting ant cheap, per hour its more expensive than Disneyland when you really think about it. I guess because its the only range around they feel they can get away not caring about the customer's experience? IDK get that old annoying guy and his ego...
Read moreWorst service ever and I never even made it to the range so this has nothing to do with safety. I have been to over a dozen ranges/gun stores in SoCal and this is the worst one by far. This particular staffer was insolent and a bold face liar. Before the incident occurred I had been there to check out their inventory and their prices and about a week later I went there on my lunch break to hit the range. I didn’t have any targets with me so when I got in line to purchase them I was informed that there were no more targets available for purchase. I looked over and about 5 feet to my left there was another staffer helping a customer choose some targets. We could both hear the customer/lady asking the staff which targets she wanted and the staff was helping her with them. I then looked at the staffer in front of me and with confusion I asked again if there were any more targets and he just said no and proceeded to eye me down in some vain attempt to intimidate me and with an incredulous look on his face that screamed “how dare you question me”. At this point I figured getting into any type of argument would be pointless and I assumed that if the owner hires staff like this then he must be well enough to not want my business so I proceeded to leave and inform all my gun buddies to avoid this place. Would not go back if this was the last gun store/range in California.
PS. The conversation was loud enough that it was heard by the other staff and no one made any attempt to rectify...
