SOL AGAVE - Mission Viejo — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

This restaurant lacks of customer service and management service. In the past, management have lied regarding the food they make like “cafe de olla”, instead…they will be cheap on their budget and want to make you think some unflavored brewing coffee is “cafe de olla”. Caught them lying in the past on this. They charge a lot for their dishes, some good coffee is not expensive to make, especially when you advertise this in your menu. My family went earlier with no reservation and we were told by the rude hostess that we needed a reservation due to Father’s Day & she started arguing with me and we asked to speak to the manager. In the meantime my husband went to look for the manager, he walked into a customer arguing with one of the waiters telling him “this was the worst Father’s Day he’s ever had”. Half of the tables were unoccupied but the wait with no reservation was 2 hours. Also my husband was told by another upset customer that the restaurant was 2 hours behind in orders and another customer had to wait 1 hour for chips/salsa. Manager never came to speak to us and we left. We are never going back to this restaurant with unprofessional/rude staff including the lack of care on behalf of the manager. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to clean up and need to get rid of everyone including the manager...

My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner at SOl AGAVE restaurant. We arrived about 4:30pm and there were plenty of empty tables to choose from. Sal was our waiter and greeted us with a big smile. I started with a Jalapeño Strawberry margarita. Very tasty with just the right amount of hot kick! My wife ordered the the filet mignon medallions on rice and I ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos. It also came with tortilla chips and salsa and some refried beans. The refried beans with the tortilla chips was excellent. I had a bite of my wife’s fillet it was cooked to perfection tender and juicy. The fish tacos were also very good. Sal was very attentive and came and checked on us several times. When you get good service and good food, make sure to leave a very nice tip. I tipped Sal 20% and he earned every penny of it. All in all we had a very enjoyable dinner and I would highly recommend SOl AGAVE...

Recently visited Sol Agave restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service from the staff. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, with a perfect blend of traditional Mexican decor and modern touches. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes, each one made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. For my main course, I tried the tacos al pastor and was blown away by the juicy and tender pork, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. In addition to the delicious food, the drinks were top-notch as well. I especially enjoyed the margarita, made with high-quality tequila and a perfectly balanced sweet and sour mix.
