I was really excited to host my daughter’s third birthday here. After speaking with the owner on the phone, who was very helpful, I decided to come check out the gym in person and let my daughter play. The nice part was that it was not crowded so she had the whole place to herself.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the cleanliness. The facility looked like it had not been maintained well. There were hairballs on the floor, dust, and overall it felt dirty. Cleanliness and proper sanitization are extremely important in a children’s play center, especially since kids touch everything.
To make matters worse, I even found a roach inside one of the toys. I took a picture. My daughter was immediately grossed out and we left shortly after. As soon as we left, she started sneezing which made me even more concerned.
Because of this experience, I will not be booking her party here as I had originally planned. I truly hope the owners address these issues because the concept of this gym is great but the upkeep and sanitation need serious...
Read moreThey are very disorganized in their scheduling. One minute they tell you there is an opening and then will tell you oh that date wasn’t put in the computer but only hand written or vice versa. No accountability. Their online website is not up to date and they will tell you oh we just haven’t updated it. Def need a better system to book parties!
Update: after seeing the response below, I can say that that is not what happened. I went the day before right before they closed and was told that it was open. Then I called the next day and was told it was open but we could do 11-1 (which was nice since they typically open at 12), then I said i would call right back. I called back in 1 min.to book and was told "oh, hold on it is in the computer but its not written in pencil on our paper calendar." She said they may not have looked at the computer when you came yesterday, to which I said, yes they did look and they told me they were available. Everyone was nice otherwise, its just that their calendar is not organized and the one online is...
Read moreI love this place! It’s completely childproof and great learning and sensory activities. However, this is an indoor gym that openly welcomes autistic children, and I’ve encountered many families who have publicly made it clear that my autistic child is not welcome to play with their child. While I love that this place is becoming more popular, I really wish families with non-special needs children would be understanding of the autistic children that come to play. We Rock The Spectrum is literally THE ONLY place I can bring my children to play without the environment being too overstimulating. It’s a “place where you never have to say sorry,” yet I have to apologize repeatedly to unruly parents during our play times and it’s upsetting. Especially considering, this place openly welcomes special needs children!!! I wish disability inclusion was more popular in 2023. So, my 3 stars are really for the crowd.. the place...
