I normally have a fantastic experience here and this is my preferred movie theater but last night we got to our 630pm movie, had a family sitting in our seats the grandmother came to talk to me after being rude to my husband, she gave me the excuse of "oh we bought tickets for lion king but the kids didnt want to see it so we just came in here instead but you can sit in those seats down there" Obviously we would have been more than happy to sit in another set of seats but the only thing available was directly in front of the screen. So this family already came in and started ordering a bunch of stuff, the manager came and was like oh the two end seats the mother is going to move, still not our seats by the way and it was filled with trash from their children. Mother was rude to us because they had to move, even though they were in the wrong movie, all 6 of them decided to move and left all of their trash and then the waiter delivered their food to us which we refused since they got up and moved to another row. On top of all of that the waitress dropped an entire drink on me. So I sat through an entire movie covered in sticky alcoholic beverage on my legs and shoes which she always then tried to charge us double for a beverage she dropped all over me entirely. A manager never bothered to come talk to us about our terrible experience. That whole family literally ruined everything. I would definitely have your waiters start checking seats and tickets before opening orders because for us it was extremely annoying that we paid for these supposed reserved seats and then having a horrible experience having drinks dropped all over myself and then trying to be charged for her mistake. We were also given another waiter during the movie so I'm not even sure what happened there. Overall you guys should do better on your customer service. Also you...
Read moreWhen it comes to choosing one of the types of theaters that serves food while you watch your movie, I enjoy coming to Star Cinema Grill. It's location is a little more convenient for me, distance wise, but I also enjoy their Tuesday and Thursday specials:
$6.50 Admission ALL DAY (add $3.50 for 3D Movies) $1.25 Certified Angus Beef or Pulled Pork Sliders (each) $5 Off All Pitchers of Beer $3.00 Domestic Drafts $1 Off All Well Liquors
As you enter the theater lobby to purchase your tickets, it's almost like a walk down the red carpet because of the long entryway. When purchasing your tickets there are assigned seats so that you don't have to worry about not being able to get a good seat or not being able to sit with your group (of course this depends on how early you get there to purchase your tickets). The seats don't recline or anything, but they are spacious and comfortable and the arm rests do go up. To order food and drinks you press the button on the table in front of you and your server will come out to take your order. The staff is very friendly and they're quick as well.
As far as the food, it's pretty decent. It's not the best, but it's not bad for theater food. It's especially not bad if you get the sliders on Tuesday or Thursday. One thing I do love is that it's only $5 for the LARGE popcorn. Anywhere else that size would easily cost you $10. I'd also recommend taking advantage of the drink specials when they have them. They also support some of the local breweries (Karbach, 8th Wonder, etc) so you'll find some of those beers available also. Lastly they also have their own special cocktails if that's what you prefer. One suggestion though, the beer pitcher specials are awesome, but keep in mind that you might be running to the restroom more often than you'd like throughout...

(Wrote This 2 Years Ago): This is the only theatre I go to and love it HOWEVER I did notice earlier this month...they changed their fries. I did NOT like their new fries. I hope it was just a one time incident because I love their crispy battered seasoned fries. My kids...
