I had to change gyms due to work, so I went to try out a class. When I arrived I asked if the class was a boxing class the very nice staff members at the front desk said that the class was a boxing class. Sweet class starts and of course there is some type of warm up then we get to the “boxing” portion of the class. The trainer said a combination, and to throw hooks apart of the combination. I looked over at the trainer, and it looked like some one was waving their arms above their head as “hooks” very strange. As I was leaving the gym I stopped and talked to the staff informing them that I felt the class wasn’t really a boxing class. A staff member informed me that the trainer teaching the class had no boxing back ground. Soooo why would that trainer be teaching a boxing class? The facility was very nice the bags are kind of close cannot really move a round the bag but you can make due. The monthly price was okay not too bad. Until I heard that there was a 100 dollar sign up fee that’s ridiculous. I did find it weird that trainer and some students were barefoot for a boxing class. Staff and facility...
Read moreAll three of my children have been members. The staff, the facility and even the owner are first in class! Two months ago, Reggie, the owner, credited three months dues to my son's account (last remaining member at the club) to compensate for charges on my daughters expired account. Incredibly fair and just on his part.
Yesterday, four days before the beginning of the new billing cycle, I swung by and canceled the membership. An hour ago, an associate called to let me know the cancelation was finalized on the system and that my card would be charged one last time on August 19. To make a long story short, she refused to consider the credit Reggie had given me until August 19 as final payment, insisting on charging me. I spent 10 minutes trying to overcome the Kafkaesc predicament of denying my credit to take care of the last month. Rather than escalate, kept repeating that they have to charge me, period.
A great company is best judged by how it treats its departing customers rather than just it's existing ones. Failing grade. Pity. Reggie...
Read moreTitle is more than just a fitness class. It's a community of amazing coaches, staff and people of all levels and ages focused on strengthening their bodies. I don't even live in Texas long-term, but I drop into Title whenever I'm in town. I always look forward to Terry's welcome back whenever she's at the desk. Coach Duy's classes are great because of his focus on footwork, technique, and challenging long combos. And if you're looking for a killer, inspirational workout, Coach Caleb always brings the energy and words of encouragement! But my favorite part of Title has been learning do strength training with all their equipment. So many Title staff members across the year have taught me how to properly deadlift, bench press, push up and more. Every time I'm in town, I look forward to filling my stay with as many classes as I can! And when I'm not in town, I use the learnings and spirit of MO City's Title community to push myself in other gyms...
