Planet Fitness — Attraction in Modesto

Super clean. Not a big gym. However, the machines are always open when I need to use them. It is open 24\7. They just replaced all the cardio machines on 9/16/18. Not a huge weight pile. The dumbells stop at 60lbs and only four plates for the barbell. It is not a free weight barbell. The barbell is on a Smith machine (2ea). So you do not need a spoter. Moreover, 90% of the machines have a duplicate. If your goal as a male is being lean at around 180lbs-190lbs with 17 arms you can achieve that goal here. This is a nice solid gym for someone who is sick of just exsiting (primordial ooz) level 1. So you join here and one day your arms start to feel kinda funny, your first pump! Nice!!! You start to grow some arms (a tadpole) level 2. If you keep it up for six months and you start to see a hint of muscle showing you are now a (brotege) level 3. People can tell you work out by now and you upgrade to the black card to bring them with you. However, they flake on you all the time. So you try to get them to take some pre work out and go or by them a redbull. Yum!!! But you end up all jacked up on pre workout and waiting around on them ALL THE TIME only to have them no show. Asking yourself why did I get this black membership again and get locked in for a year? Well.. you go anyways by yourself!!? Welcome (gym bro) level 4. After you have a solid gym routine down and renewed you mebership and met the many goals you set out to achieve. This can take years. It is now a way of life for you (gym rat) level 5. This is as far as Planet Fitness can take you. At level 5 you bench 315lbs, curl 120lbs, deadlift twice your body weight, run six minute miles and so on. This is when you hit a wall, you are now scientifically considered to be jacked and need more weight anyways. Trust bro science. This is the evolution of a lifting man. I was always too embarrassed to go workout at a gym. I tried this one time and knew this was the place for me. When they say the no judgment zone, they really mean it. I never feel like anybody is staring. Everybody is busy doing their own workout. Their equipment works well and always nice & clean. Even the bathrooms and locker area is very clean. They even have a large selection of tv channels to watch as you do your cardio.

Also, the employees are very helpful. There are still workout equipment that I don't know how to use. But whenever I have a question, they are very friendly and more than willing to walk over and show me how to use it. I also like that I can check on their website to see if its busy or not, before I go. I still have not had a time that its so busy I cannot get on my favorite equipment. I move pretty smoothly from work out machine to the next with no problem. I think I would hate it if I had to always wait to move on to the next machine. But I've never had that happen.

I always thought I would hate working out, but this place makes me really look forward to my workout! Love it here!! I like the diversity. There are some people in pretty good shape working out and I see some that are first timers and some who are more serious. But nobody judges. So if you are like me and feel scared to get started or self conscious. This is the place for you. And if you are more in shape and serious about your workout but don't want to be bogged down in a busy place. I think you will like...

I like the location, most staff is nice, I went into cancel today to switch to a gym with a baby center. The first person to acknowledge me was super rude,(long fake extensions, bad eyelash extensions and even worse attitude I don’t remember her name) I walked in and waited patiently to be acknowledged since there were 3 staff members talking and lots of members coming in all at once. I had my son in his stroller with me when I walked in. She WHIPPED her head around without even greeting me hello and rudely asked if I had a phone number for my account. I was taken aback by her demeanor and hesitated before answering. I said I was actually there to cancel my account. Thankfully another staff member who was very sweet and helpful (shorter, brown hair and pink feather in her eyelash? Or maybe remnants of fake lashes don’t remember her name either.) stepped in and helped me. There was a discrepancy with my account which was then passed on to 2 managers, the regional manager and eventually the billing company. Aside from the first person I dealt with everyone else was extremely helpful and kind. We got the issue resolved and my account cancelled.
