Usually I have a great experience in this store but today was the worst I had ever experienced which really drove me to this review on 1/08/19 I purchased some items one that included a drying rack it wasn't lining up so I thought I could do a quick return. Obviosly it didn't.This is the email I send Walmart because of such a horrible experience I had in the return section that brought me to tears because my children were with me and no parent/customer/mother have to have gone through with what I did...Walmart email sent-Today I felt discriminated intimidated and offended by your return employees at the register. Lionel and another employee with an arrogant tone both I quote " It's not on the receipt you didn't scan it,you didn't pay for it probably then it's stolen" both laugh at me all infront of my two children. The assumption was that I took an item without paying because it was not on the receipt and acted like I was crazy returning the item.Both my children were with me that moment and the insinuation that I took a product without paying made me cry. Lionel tryed to take the item without returning my money so I asked for a manager to check the cameras because it was a self check-out problem going on obviously. The item was a drying rack which when I assemble was not lining up. I took the comment by your employees hurtful discriminating and unprofessional worst customer service I ever experienced. My oldest child was very hurt hearing his mom accused of stealing by your employees especially how aggressive Lionel got infront of your manager Pablo as I addressed my concerns. He became confrontational and I quote him say " WHAT DID I SAY" more than 3 times yelling over from his register to where I was speaking with the manager trying to intimidate me from speaking hovering over and looking over my way which scared my eldest child. He felt that Lionel was being very disrespectful as I. Your Return employee Lionel had no professional demeanor, no respect, or no conflict resolution skills. I understand not all customers are great but he made me feel like I was scum and your customers should never feel like that ever. I never been treated this way in my life I went home crying of how horrible I felt just for trying to resolve a return transaction. Please look in on your return employees and cameras I don't mind talking further about it. The location is plaza parkway Walmart of Modesto California incident was today at around 9:30 pm. Went to use warranty and they said its through another company. And the manager at the customer service was rude. She said I was being disrespectful but she didn't know I had just came from the other walmart were they didn't have the item. To come there to be treated in a manner that made me upset. She also didn't know that trying to get the mattress fixed for my mother in law that staying with us tomorrow for my father in law that is 75 getting back surgery. My mother in law 70 but that not there problem right. But this warranty thing is probably going take walmart down. I say class action lawsuit . So maybe being rude to people because you just work there and you didn't sell it. There is a way to handle someone that already upset, that diffently not getting more upset by saying maybe I could get my 4 dollars back. If they know why I needed it done or what I did already to get it done. But instead they screamed merry Christmas as I walked out. So if they look at this my father in law is a veteran and he gets to sleep on a mattress that has a leak for Christmas so they can get food stamps that he paid and I do. Read moreRude older lady at the garden center register today. I had about 8 half dead plants from a rack that were clearanced at less than $2 each. Some had yellow clearance tags, most didn't but all were half dead and on the same rack. There were three of these racks. I mentioned to the lady who was already obviously annoyed before I ever got to her register, that some had no yellow tags but were on the same clearance racks. She barks, "if there's no yellow tag then they aren't on clearance". I stated my case, that they were all dying, and were on the same rack at the back of the garden section, on the clearance racks. I nicely asked to see a manager. The second I said that she started slamming my items down as she scanned them, then walked out in a huff to get a manager she saw walk by. In a cady tone of voice she called out her name. The manager came in and said basically the same thing. I again explained the scenario. The manager proceeded to explain that she wasn't making any money on those and couldn't mark em down... all that she said made no sense to me, nor did it address the problem. She missed the whole point about them being half dead and on the same rack. Perhaps a simple sign that said "prices as marked" would have helped. I left all but the three plants with yellow clearance tags. I was too annoyed at both women to go thru the racks and find the yellow tags. More, very typical poor service from Walmart...
