I've eaten several cheeseburgers this month and many this past 10days. I really put some thought into why some are so much better or worse than the others.
Here's what I know: In and Out's best burger is the double double because the ratio of meat cheese produce sauce and bun is perfect. I've found you can get the single, remove one bun and fold it over for nearly the same ratio, but the onion is off, and it's a mess. I last ate the single cheeseburger with raw onion and the usual fixings they provide... It's hard to finish a dbl dbl. I also concluded it's the best taste , texture, temperature and burger eating experience at a low price. I believe these are the reasons they succeed :
1 ingredients are fresh, high quality, and placed with care so that everything covers the bun surfaces.
No thin tasteless lettuce with more spine than leaf . no razor thin, pale, mushy, tasteless tomato, no hot malformed onion, no sauce gushing out dripping onto the paper wrap and creating an inedible, soggy, unrecognizable bun. It's not juicy beef that is causing that "juicy" bite competitors claim. Onions are high quality, sliced just the right thickness, and sauce is tasty moist just right .Again... everything is placed with care.
It's all fresh and served hot. The cheese is American, and they make no claims otherwise. It fitted to the patties and melted just enough. The meat is lightly seasoned ... Not bland or overcooked or greasy .
3 It's priced right. You could eat there any time probably from just scraping around your glove box and floorboard to find enough to pay for lunch.
4.the staff is on point.. friendly, efficient, clean employees who know and perform their jobs well.
The fries and drinks are great too. They use freshly cut,:real potatoes and serve them fresh and hot with a little salt.
So the food is superb yet affordable. It's that simple. Other high marks for clean restrooms and dining areas, lots of napkins, low prices and smart, fast, friendly workers who seem happy.
Without naming other discount burger fast food choices, may I add that the other burgers I ate were either 3 times as expensive for the same quality food etc or just didn't taste as good and/or had a nasty mouth feel due to sitting around too long or dripping in sauces, foul tasting accoutrements, old or just inferior produce, no seasoning, cold, inept burger assembly and/or cooking, hard, foul tasting or cold buns or an exercise in bad recipe choices.
I recommend you avoid inferior food and, as I learned in childhood... "choose the right".. choose In and Out .
Btw.. shakes are not what I consider worth having as they are small, not cold enough, and bland. They serve great sodas which are refillable.
I hope you will get a chance to look over some of your choices of where to get a burger and this will help you decide. I wish I'd seen an honest review on some of the places that I spent my money and later wished I hadn't. Thanks for letting me share my...
Read moreDifferent........... not flattering for sure, but a little bit confusing and almost offensive ......would be my best way of describing this most recent visit to the In-N-Out on Sisk Road in Modesto. We (only the two of us((my beautiful, delightful, lovable, an amazing girlfriend and I, had our drive-thru order taken and read back incorrectly on 4 out of the first 5 ordering attempts, by atleast 2 possibly 3 different employees .... and then things got a little dicey ....... the female order taker or window person the one in which I paid the money to at the first drive up window, took Armani gave me a receipt and change and as soon as we pulled forward a matter of inches begin very strangely end awkwardly placing be right back signs on the drive-up window first date red thank you for your business have a good day or something of that nature then she would switch it out and stick a big sign up that then stated sorry closed have a good night something of that nature back and forth back and forth each sign multiple times. It sounds Petty but it was very quickly passed hilarious became awkward inoffensive immediately after the humor subsided. And then I saw mirror for cars back and just having given their order what's a red and white Highway Patrol vehicle which just about made me s* my pants because I had just put out huge joint that I was smoking when we pulled into the drive thru and if that wasn't it and only 30 seconds prior to noticing the highway patrolman vehicle I had scrunched and wadded up small paper receipt going to hook shot out my window and threw it into the bushes that ran parallel to the drive-thru. But I realize this was only my perspective and probably just cuz I have some killer...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at the In-N-Out on Sisk Road, and it was nothing short of a 5-star experience!
Let's start with the burgers. Words cannot express how incredibly juicy and full of flavor these burgers were. Each bite was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The patties were perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. In-N-Out definitely knows how to make a burger that leaves you craving for more. I get mine animal style. But yo! the aroma in my car was making me crazy!
But it's not just the food that sets this place apart. The employees were exceptionally nice and welcoming. Their smiles and friendly attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to take my order and answer any questions I had, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that you don't always find in fast-food restaurants. Read other reviews. This is very uncommon for me to praise a fast food spot. Period.
Speaking of fast, the service at In-N-Out on Sisk Road was incredibly quick. I was amazed at how efficiently they managed to prepare the food while maintaining the quality that they are famous for. It's a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction.
The whole experience was delightful. The combination of mouthwatering, full burgers, friendly and efficient staff, and the overall welcoming ambiance made this visit to In-N-Out a memorable one. If you're in the area and craving a burger that's not only delicious but also served with a smile, this In-N-Out on Sisk Road is the place to go. Don't waste your time on anything on Pelendale. Sorry. Not even the OTHER in-n-out holds a candle to this place.
A legit AF 5-star experience from...
