For sure one of the neatest parks along the river! The playground is small but it works, there are benches right near the playground area, the bathrooms have hot water and it has a covered picnic area.
The biggest down side was this weirdo sitting across from the playground. He was so bold as to pull out BINOCULARS to watch our little girls on the dish swing! And before anyone tries to give the benefit of the doubt, I AM that person that gives it. However, no matter where my girls were, he was watching and they were the only kids in the park. The scariest part is he had a blue flood lights where his front plate should've been, a thin white light bar across the roof and a neon yellow reflective vest so... yes, he can appear "official" TRUST ME: He was a PERV! When I approached him and asked him if everything was OK, he wouldn't look at me and just replied, "Everything's fine" He kept his hand by his face on the side so I couldn't get a thorough look at him but he's got wire-framed glasses, Brown scruffy hair, wears a baseball cap and has a mustache. He's short, around 5' 7"- 5' 9"

Read more(see update)Packed full of methheads that live in their cars. Although you can walk the trail and access the water. The picnic areas are constantly occupied by the same vehicles and "people" who come stake out their place to sleep while the park is open. It's a real shame. I would not suggest women come out there alone. Even in broad daylight.. lots of shady characters wandering around and they will just "pop out" of the brush at random places throughout the trail. I've had this happen a few times and was glad I had my dog.
(Update) I have noticed a significant improvement this year. Although still finding evidence of intravenous drug use. It seems to be much less prevailent. Changing my rating to three stars from two. Still would not suggest women walk trails alone. Riverside seems very safe however as there's always...
Read moreIt's a beautiful park to go to and skip stones. There's a running river and a bridge to walk over where people bring their dogs. The dogs were very happy finding sticks and running through the shallow parts of the river. There's a place to park in the shade and have lunch and there were several small barbecues with several benches to sit on to eat your food (also there is a public restroom). I didn't get to explore the park too well I was only there for a few hours. The park appears to be small at first but that's only because I didn't go out and explore. If I do come back to this park I'll have to bring a foldable chair and a beach towel so I can put my feet...
