Worst customer service ever; there is a thick feeling of pretentiousness just walking. The employees look so disgruntled their the how can I help you comes across as “what do you want” as they stare at you with daggers. Customer service after buying anything is zilch; its like buying a used car; when you’re trying to make a purchase, they are your best friend, but Once you bought it its yours, don’t expect any help from us. There are many reviews about the poor customer service here and it has not changed since they moved across HWY 2, so don’t try and blame it on COVID. I think it’s a family issue. FYI; you are selling fire-arms to the public; you should be well versed in what you’re selling and maybe read one of the manuals once and again. I could have sat there and argued the disinformation you were trying to give me this weekend in front of other customers but I figured why bother, it didn’t seem you were willing to help even though I purchased two rifles in your store at the same time. So, to the guy in the back that sits behind the counter like Jabba The Hut; no fire arms manual starts out on page one telling you to clean your weapon. It starts out with introduction to fire arms and safety. Honestly, you shouldn’t even be able to own a gun shop giving out that kind of miss information. To sum it up; small store packed so full its hard to walk through run by un-educated disgruntle staff. It not my job to tell people where to buy from, but I will share my experience so others know what they are getting into.
Response to owner; You answered many questions without answering them. Once again however your assumptions are incorrect. Please check your cameras; I did not wait outside, rather got out of my car and walked straight through the front door as there was no-one waiting outside at the time, there were no customers currently with you. I was very cordial coming in asking for help. The staff was not frantically working to catchup; If that’s what frantically working to catchup is you must be really slow. I was immediately greeted with the “what do you want dagger stare from your staff member. I was told I need to talk to the guy in the back; I left the rifle on the counter and waited as I thought he would be grabbing the rifle to take it back, your guy stood there for a while before telling me to grab my rifle. I grabbed my rifle and immediately moved it to the muzzle up position as there was one person in-between me and you. Once at your counter I proceeded to place my rifle on the counter in a position away from others. Your statement about me starting an RMA is incorrect, which tells me you were not listening to what I was saying or explaining to you. For a reminder. I talked to the factory, they said I could set up an RMA, they also suggested I return to my place of purchase to see if they can help. I purchased two rifles from you; yes, in November; the first I setup with a scope, bore sited, and took to the range to zero in for my Montana hunting trip. The second stayed on the shelf till recent. Mounted and bore sited a scope. Once I was at the range and tried to rack rounds and it would not work. The rounds would get stuck and chewed up when loading. You answer “looks like they are being grabbed”. You did say you were willing to help. However, you wanted to charge me for doing so. I purchased two rifles from you and one was bad out of the box. You see that’s where customer service comes in, and your lack thereof. Experience over the last 3 to 4 years of being in and out of your establishment hasn’t changed and the atmosphere explained above has always been the same. I only purchased from you in November because you had what I was looking for; a mistake I will never make again. I challenge my review against your camera footage any day.
Sir; first and foremost I never authorized you to use my information to call me; second, review your footage again; it was your staff that brought me back to you, i cut no one off. I do want this resolved, just not by you. You had your...

I met a coworker here the other day (~2/2/21) because my coworker gifted me a firearm he just wanted to leave in good hands, what a guy right. So I go in early to sort it out before my coworker gets there and stand in line for like 15 minutes (pretty reasonable for a gun store these days...), I get to the counter and tell the guy I'd like to initiate a transfer between two private parties. I ask how much they charge for that and he says $25. The shop by my house does it for $15 but my coworker lives way closer to this place, so i figured I'd just make it easy on him.. So he says $25 for the transfer and whatever tax is owed on the firearm. I told him it was a gift not a purchase and he proceeds to tell me about this "use tax" which I had never heard of. I asked for an explanation and he goes on to tell me that there is state sales tax on the transaction for the value of the firearm. I ask who evaluates the firearm and he said they did it right there in the shop. I felt weird about it for multiple reasons, namely I had never heard of this "use tax", and secondly because private people cant just start assigning values to goods and collecting tax dollars owed to the state, on the state's behalf. I was born at night but not last night, I ended up walking out. Now I'm not insisting they got some sort of racket going on over there, but I got home and contacted 3 other gun shops in my area and none, none of them said they had ever heard of this "use tax" and they also all confirmed that there is no tax collected on person to person firearms transfers in the state of Washington. So not only is the transfer almost twice as expensive here ($25 vs $15), but they are apparently charging people this unheard of, unwarranted "use tax".
BTW I looked up "use tax" and its a tax assessed on goods or services purchased outside of Washington (presumably at a lower tax rate) that are for use IN the state of Washington. So if I go to Montana (0% sales tax) and buy a $1000 car, I'd need to pay WA sales tax upon returning to Washington with it if I planned to use and keep it in Washington.
I think this store has a 3.9 rating on Google cuz they had all the "cool" stuff you wanna see in a gun store. Sure, If you want one specialty item and not real "customer service", go ahead and give them a call, they look to have a nice selection of accessories and toys.
And lastly, the guy helping me might as well have been a "Closed" sign. Pretty much the typical hourly employee who doesn't care about the business and just wants the line gone. Didn't greet me, was not polite, wasn't willing to explain anything to me, just sat there on his stool with his hands in his pockets, conveying he wasn't willing to lift a finger. I agree completely with what the other guy said about the attitude and...
Read moreThe only reason why I'm giving it 2-stars and not a 1 is because the poor experience I had here only came from one individual. My first day in the store was great, professional and knowledgeable staff who were eager to help me in answering all my questions about guns. After spending $2,600 purchasing my rifle, ammo, cleaning kit, and other stuff I had to go through the preliminary background check which unfortunately got delayed. The gentleman respectfully informed me they would call to let me know when it went through. After my background check had cleared and I went to pick up my rifle this is when I started to feel very unwelcomed. After signing the final paperwork to take my rifle home, I knew I needed a case for it, so I spent another $320 buying a Boyt H-Series double rifle case; totalling my spending to $2,900. I went up to the front desk near the entrance doors to purchase the case and was immediately inundated by a very passive-aggressive I'm tough kind of attitude. This was quite shocking to me since none of the other staff members displayed this aggression towards me. I'm very used to dealing with all kinds of people, so her poor attitude did not effect me, but merely surprised me. I had asked if she was able to give me a military discount on the case, which I knew they did because the gentleman my first day gave it to me for the ammo, cleaning kit, and other stuff. She became very peeved upon me requesting for a discount, because she had already rung up the purchase order, which I simply requested if she could negate and start again in order to receive the discount, which she then became even more visibly annoyed by. To the point where she started throwing a fit over it by raising her voice at me and crumpling up the old receipt in a display of frustration. Overall her body language, attitude, and tone of voice was extremely uncalled for and unprofessional, especially after spending nearly $3,000. But it's important to consider regardless of how much you spend your hard-earned money, you deserve top-quality customer service. And if you work in retail, and someone respectfully requests a service which you provide, and they pay for it in order to sustain it, but you have a problem with that, then maybe you should work in a different field. Anyways, never coming back here again, which is a shame because I was going to buy all my...
