Blu Water Medi Spa Salon — Attraction in Monroe

Saturday 09/24/16 I scheduled a visit to Blu Water Medi Spa Salon to get extractions done and get a facial. I was told about the Glycolic Chemical peel. Mind you I had never had a chemical peel before. I was informed it was the mildest peel with no recovery time. I was very nervous about it but the aesthetician assured me I would be fine. I had a concert hours after the facial. I told her I wanted to be able to wear makeup! After the facial my face was bright red and burned. She told me to go home and apply coconut oil before I apply any foundation. When I got home my face hurt very bad I decided I didn't want to apply any foundation. The following morning I woke up to a sever raised red rash all over my face and neck. When I contacted the salon the first time they told me it was dermatitis. I should go buy hydrocortisone cream and treat the rash with that. After a day had passed I called and told them I would like to be seen. The rash had spread and got worse. I was unable to sleep and my face was swelling, burning, and itching severely. I met with another aesthetician Tuesday afternoon. She had informed me the rash was not dermatitis it was in fact a chemical burn. (I was treated with the Glycolic peel twice at 30%! This was my very first time as I stated receiving a peel my face was fried literally). She told me wait another few days and she would call and check up on me. The following by day I called and asked the salon for a refund along with paying for my dermatologist visit which I would have to pay out of pocket. The salon refunded me and refused to pay for my dermatologist visit after they severely chemically burned my face! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THIS SALON FOR FACIAL SERVICES. I am really disappointed with the customer service I recently received. I've been here multiple times before and have never had issues until they started doing their booking through Vagaro. I booked a couples massage for the 20th February back in mid January, received the email for confirmation and everything the day that I had scheduled. Now two weeks before my appointment, my MOTHER gets a phone call at 8:30 at night (we both have been here so I don't know if they mixed up our numbers or what) trying to contact me and ask about my card on file. My mother gives them my phone number so they can talk to me, and I never received a phone call from them. I check my appointment on Vagaro and all of a sudden my couples massage is cancelled and I have a single person massage booked instead. So I call them back and speak to who I assume is the manager or the desk runner and she has a horrible attitude with me. I was made to feel like the entire situation was my fault, and I'm unable to get a couples massage unless I'm comfortable with a male masseuse, which I am not. I'm not usually one to get upset about mix ups, we're all human, but a little kindness about the situation would have been appreciated, especially when this was a birthday surprise I've had planned for almost a month. During the Blue Water Medi Spa n Salon's 20th Anniversary event I had a skin care consultation and received a free hydration treatment and led light therapy session, I was absolutely in LOVE WITH THE RESULTS!!! My friends n family kept commenting on how good my skin looked, and said "I looked dewy" , and "glowing". I even had 2 different ppl out in public, and on the street stop me n ask "what is your skin care regiment. Your skin is absolutely beautiful?" It was settled, I was going to continue to go to Blue Water Medi Spa n Salon to see Miss Megan McCartney so she could continue to give me the royal treatment. So today I went in for a consultation for body sculpting, which included a demonstration. Miss Megan was extremely thorough and answered all my 2 dozen questions. Not only that but she also explained the process and procedure, breaking things down, step by step, explaining layer by layer the way our skin works, its needs , and lots of other fascinating tid bits I didn't know. She was very nice, informative, and made me feel comfortable and at ease with the process and procedure. All in all, I would recommend 10/10 I left there feeling like I'd never felt before.
