Read moreI drive up from Toledo to visit the Goodwill stores in Lambertville and Monroe. They are dramatically different than the ones in Ohio. To start with, the MI Goodwill stores tend to put out the majority of what is donated. They aren't sifting it for the good stuff and only putting out the trash. They also have a rewards program that gives you $5 off your next purchase on a regular basis. As others have mentioned, sometimes their prices are unreasonable. With that said, their managers have been great about negotiating these prices. For example, the other day they had an older Roomba vacuum listed for $150. All the pieces were there and it still has some function even with it being older. I pointed out to the manager that this model sells for around $30 on eBay and he ended up selling it to me for $20. I was also able to negotiate a Xbox 360 from $100 down to $25. Another nice thing is that these MI stores get overflow products from Target. So there are often brand new heavily discounted items available. For example, I found a 20000 maH name-brand USB-C portable battery for $10 that retails for $99. Overall I'd give this location 5 stars. Docking a star because it would be nice if their prices were appropriate in the first place, but good that they're willing to reevaluate...
