All I can say is wow. The server is way over her head taking care of 3 tables and the online orders. She forgot multiple items that we requested, the cook messed up my sandwich and I returned it, asking for it to be corrected. I could hear the server and whomever back there arguing about how I should just take the vegetables out myself and they shouldnt have to remake it. If the vegetables wouldn't send me to the hospital and require surgery, then I would risk picking them off. Would you say these things if someone was allergic to something and it would harm them as well? The cook literally threw the lamb onto a plate with no wrap around it and put it out for the server to take to me. She literally looked at the cook and said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" As she slid the piece of meat on the plate back at him to make my sandwich CORRECTLY. The sandwich came out bland, they left the sauce out intentionally just to prove some kind of point to me, as a paying customer. I took one bite of it and spit it back out. It tasted burnt and disgusting. The one thing I had high hopes for, my favorite soup, lentil soup, was honestly the worst I've ever had in my entire life. We paid for this disaster of a dinner and will never return. You guys should honestly be ashamed running this restaurant.
Update to owner.... Your server apologized for the meal as soon as we walked up to pay for the food. Our plates at the table were completely full of food, I ate like 4 bites of the soup because I was absolutely starving and it took you almost half an hour to make me a correct sandwich. Mind you, the soup didn't even come out until after my first messed up sandwich. If you have a camera above the table, maybe you should acknowledge all the terrible things we said about our meal. I'll happily take my money elsewhere like Dearborn meat market where the owners actually have some class and know how to make...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic! Yesterday, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Shish Kabob Garden, and I can confidently say it was one of the best lunch experiences we've ever had.
From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth of this local family-run gem. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch. Now let’s talk about the food—it was simply incredible!
The highlight for us was the fresh bread they served. It arrived piping hot, with a beautifully fluffy texture and a perfectly baked crust that made it hard to resist. Accompanying the bread was a garlic dipping sauce that was out of this world! It had just the right balance of creamy and garlicky goodness, making each bite absolutely delightful. We found ourselves wanting to order more bread just to keep enjoying that sauce!
Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. From the kabobs to the assorted sides, every dish reflected the care and passion of the family behind the restaurant.
Overall, our lunch at Shish Kabob Garden was a 5-star experience all around. The combination of fantastic food, a welcoming atmosphere, and the charm of a family-run establishment made it truly memorable. We can’t wait for our next visit! Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic...
Read moreI didn’t realize there were new owners, but that might exlplain my experience the last few times. Food is extremely expensive for very poor quality ingredients. I don't mind paying a bit more, but then you should be using decent ingredients. For example, we are in the midst of peak tomato season, yet the two tiny chunks of tomato in my salad were hard and pale pink/white. That has been the case the last couple of times. Everything I have had has been swimming in poor quality oil. Feels like soybean...probably those big vats of Sysco fryer oil, if I were going to guess. Even the salad dressing tastes like it uses that same weird slippery oil, and I don't taste any lemon or vinegar or anything other than oil in it. Food is bland, rice is mushy, everything I have ordered has been made with the cheapest ingredients possible, and I always feel sick after eating it. I think it's just from all of the cheap oil. I won't go back for awhile. Hopefully things improve as they settle in, but until then, I'll just...
