Took my Dyson purple to get a red clip that holds the canister on to get fixed. I had the canister tied on with a string. The clip when pushed opens the bottom of the canister for the dirt to fall out. Dropped off sweeper with Edward. I told him I wanted the clips fixed and the machine cleaned. He informed me right away that he was backed up for a couple weeks and I may want to take it to a place in North Versailles. I explained that I did not mind waiting and he said he would call when done. Edward called to inform me that my sweeper was done and I can come pick it up. Went to pick up my Dyson and Edward tells me its 89.99 and needed a “cyclone” that costs 150.00 but I only charged you 50.00 ... I said what’s a cyclone? Edward told me “he had no idea!” So I took it home and looked on Dyson.com and found out what a cyclone was and brand new it’s the whole unit for 65-75 dollars. The cyclone was not replaced and I never received a call before hand to explain to me what a cyclone was and why they replaced the part that was not broken. Called back and talked to Edward about the dirty sweeper and about the used part (the cyclone) that he supposedly replaced. He told me to bring it back and he would personally take care of it himself and he went on to explain that the guy he hired didn’t want to work and dropped the ball on him. Ok stuff happens, so took it back again! Ed calls again to inform me that he personally cleaned it himself and made sure everything was in working order. Went in the store to pick up my sweeper once again...this is the forth time back and forth...owner was there working with another woman and never even acknowledged I walked in the building! Took my Dyson home again only to find it filthy dirty still and the clip does not release the bottom for the dirt to fall out. The filters were never changed, the sweeper was never cleaned and the clip will not release the dirt canister. Had to take it apart and clean it myself! I would not go here to buy or get anything fixed. Not a trustworthy business! ...
Read moreNew dishwasher installed in December, second floor kitchen. 2 months later mold is growing on the walls on the first floor. Turns out when they installed the new dishwasher the piping beneath it sprung a leak. Drip drip drip....for 2 months. Couldn't tell due to the toekick covering it up. By the time i realized something was wrong the mold situation was bad. Ross Appliance came out to look at it, figure out what went wrong. Part of a pipe went bad. They replaced an inner rubber ring and declared it fixed. Denied any fault. That pipe was there when they installed it...not their fault it failed. I'm supposed to think that it's a concidence that the leak started at the same time as when they played with that waterline? Then the Ross Appliance guy posits that there is a different leak elsewhere in the house responsible for all the water damage. Ok, possible. Time to investigate. Sembower tears up the walls and looks behind them. No leak. Everythings fine. One leak...a leak that only started after they worked on that new install.
It annoys me that there was no culpability. My insurance payment is about to pop way up because of this. I'm out of pocket.
I'm annoyed I tipped the two original installers $20 each when they installed that unit to be grateful for their hardwork. These are the hard working guys that deserve a small bonus at the very least, right? Well...one of the same installers returns to shrug off what happened and hypothesize other leaks were to blame for the mold infestation in my house. Not even an apology.
And, in case you care, he didn't wear a mask. If you are worried about Covid...well...he ain't I guess.
I'm a very unsatisfied customer who comes from a family that has a very good relationship with Ross...
Read moreThe sales staff are very good, the two delivery men were ok, except they didn't secure my new washing machine discharge pipe securely and it came loose during the very first wash cycle sending water all over the basement floor. After re-securing the discharge pipe, I started the cycle and it was making this gawd awful grinding noise. I immediately shut it off and called Ross Appliance to share the experience with them. Being kind, their attitude was non-committal, almost brush-off non-committal so I called GE directly. It took three days for a tech to arrive. He walks in looks at the machine and says, "it's not level." I told him the delivery guy used a level on the top of the machine. He tells me he should also have used it on the side. He gets it level, hooks up his laptop to the machine and does an entire 30 minutes of schematics on it. Turns it on (my now dry towels from three days ago are still in the machine) and the grinding noise is there. I looked at him and he says, "that's normal." What? I have to listen to that while the machines operating? "Yep, that's normal." When the machine spins it vibrates, and I mean vibrates, and just today, it was "walking" right toward my newly installed stationary tub that is mounted to my wall, not the floor. Worst washing machine ever. There's other things that are inherently annoying about this machine but I just don't want the hassle of trying to return it and start from scratch. It's just my husband and me so we're not talking large, heavy loads of clothes So just be aware the machine has a life of its own and not in a good way! But hey, the sales staff was good.
