I hate giving bad reviews. I rarely give a bad review which is why I most definitely need to write one for this restaurant. I was driving downtown Monrovia when I came across this cute little restaurant. The location is excellent. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is good also. I walked in and patiently waited for a few minutes until the cashier attended me. Both cashiers came out from the back but had horrible customer service and attitude issues. I can handle bad customer service but what happened next shocked me. I asked the first cashier what would she recommend since this was my first time here. She said " she will help you" meaning the other cashier. So I asked her the same question. She said our number seven on the menu is like Mexican meat but not really. That answer did not help at all. Either way I still ordered the number 7. As I waited for my food, I was baffled by how loud she was speaking on her personal cell phone. Please keep in mind that there is another person at the restaurant which was not attended once. She was speaking to one of her friends on her phone having a very uncomfortable conversation for me to listen to. After she hung up with that person she started watching YouTube videos of YouTubers and laughing as if it was a comedic show. Shortly after, the chef or cook from the back came out and grab a soda from one of the refrigerators by the bar.... she began throwing things at him and telling him to go away, every time he got closer she would get louder & threw anything she saw. Again, what she does with people she knows is none of my concern. I just felt terrible that the older man that was sitting at the restaurant-alone, had to see and listen to all of that and not even feel acknowledged that he might have needed help. I am bothered by the unprofessionalism of this restaurant. The staff needs to improve their customer service and professionalism at the workplace. Maybe even a work ethic class or weekly meetings to educate these...
Read moreStepping into Seasoning Alley for breakfast turned out to be one of the best dining decisions we’ve ever made! The atmosphere was inviting, with a cozy vibe that set the perfect tone for a morning feast. My wife opted for the waffles, and I can safely say they were nothing short of spectacular. Each bite was a perfect blend of crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, drizzled with just the right amount of syrup to sweeten our morning.
I decided to try something a bit different and went for the egg roll, and oh, was it a revelation! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with each ingredient standing out yet complementing the others beautifully. It was, without a doubt, one of the most delicious breakfast items I’ve had in a long time.
Seasoning Alley didn’t just serve us food; they provided an experience that was both heartwarming and satisfying. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to start their day on a delicious note. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to try more of their delectable offerings. Highly...
Read moreFirst off, if you are visiting the area on a Friday: note that the street fair is almost every Friday. With that said, Friday for sit-down service here seems slow. They looked understaffed for the service side.
The food is good , but not great. However the quality of everything we tried was amazing. I had the Chicken shawarma-- it comes with a "Greek" salad, jasmine rice, and hummus... Oh and a pita. Very consistent with other restaurants in the area 4/5.
My wife had a beef gyro wrap. She enjoyed it. I had some and it lacked some seasoning on the beef but the tahini sauce helped balance the lack of flavor. 4/5
We also got a Greek salad side order and it was super fresh and great tasting. 4.5/5
Overall, I'm happy with the food for the price. We spent about $25 and doubt you can get a better Mediterranean meal for this price at the same quality. Quality of food : 4.8/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambience:3/5 (seems a little empty because of the seating setup, but very nice decor) Prices: 5/5 I would return to try...
