MOO MOO MIA — Restaurant in Monrovia

This review is specifically for Moo Moo Mia's catering service, but I have been a frequent customer prior to hiring them for our wedding.

Moo Moo Mia serves the best ice cream in town and is run by the loveliest sibling duo. They use the highest quality ingredients in their ice cream, and I love that they offer new flavors each month. When they got their new catering cart, I knew I just HAD to have their ice cream at our wedding. I had the privilege of working closely with Mia throughout the catering process, and she was always so helpful, accommodating, and attentive. At our tasting, their sweetest employee Hannah scooped us as many flavors as we wanted to try! We were able to choose 4 flavors for the cart and it was such a difficult decision, but we went with: tiramisu (seasonal), oreos and cream, strawberry sorbet, and sweet taro (my husband's all-time favorite).

On our wedding day, they arrived on-time and had the cutest set up. Our guests raved about the ice cream and many called it the highlight of the night. A lot of our guests came back for more scoops, but Mia ensured to bring extra ice cream so we wouldn't run out! They were quick and efficient in scooping, and always served with a smile.

Whether you want to visit their shops for a scoop or hire them for an upcoming event, you won't regret it. Thank you Mia, Mark, and the Moo Moo Mia team. You guys are the best and we can't...

I was really craving banana ice cream tonight. Went to 4 different ice cream shops, first 2 didn’t have banana ice cream, 3rd was cold stone downtown Monrovia. There was barely any left in the bin but the kid went to check the back to see if there was more. After some debate I settled on a scoop of chocolate with whatever scrapings were left of banana. This was $9. The kid helping us was dry and had 0 customer service skills. After, we went to Moo Moo Mia’s (which we originally skipped because we thought they were pricey).. we saw they had a banana flavor so decided we had to go try it. The young blonde kid working the front was incredibly personable, friendly and interactive. I decided to buy the banana ice cream from him even though I just got some from cold stone. In lieu of writing a bad review of my cold stone experience, I decided to focus on the positive and highlight this shop and especially the young kid working there. I would hire him, get this kid a raise, good help is hard to find! Oh and the ice cream was almost half the price...

Had 2 strikeout experiences across the street with lunch, and decided to give it another go on spending my hard earned cash for a Sunday afternoon treat. Service was absolutely excellent. Nice vibe inside, and the girl behind the counter was pleasant and helpful. She offered us several tastes of the ice cream, and told us a little about it. EXCELLENT ice cream! So impressed. My wife and I shared one scoop. Peppermint Hot Cocoa. The transaction was simple and quick. We went across the street and sat on a bench to consume our newly acquired treasure. One of the comments we made was how superior it was to any other ice cream place you would usually go to. (Hint, there's a creamery across the street). Don't wast your time. Yes, you'll pay a premium. However, if you want authentic handmade ice cream that tastes like a scoop of heaven... Moo Moo Mia...
