This place is amazing -- can't say enough good things about the commitment to fostering a community of diverse voices. To boot, the place is cozy, is offering free space for co-working twice a week (think it is 10am to 1pm on Tuesday and Thursday) and Friday is "Silent Shopping." Those running it are super friendly and generous. Excited to join the book club! Such a gem in Monrovia....and they also sell local artisan's wares, so there is shopping of all sorts, and very interesting books...went to open mic night and that was a lot of fun...just a great community....and then went next door to Paris Baguette to top if off! Hope...

The selection of books is so beautifully curated by the owners and they feature some great local vendors too. Even though the store space is small, they somehow magically manage to pack it with something for everyone, and I never leave empty handed. Everyone is so welcoming I could spend HOURS here. They also host amazing programming, book talks and community events. I love having such a welcoming and diverse space in our town. Definitely 10 out of 10...

Underdog Bookstore started out as a popup bookstore at the Monrovia Street Fair on Fridays and Iām excited theyāre now a more permanent part of Old Town Monrovia. The owners are lovely people and their dog is the sweetest little pup. My son sometimes asks to stop by just to see the dog. I love that the business is rooted in representing, making space for, and putting the spotlight...
