I just left Urban Outfitters in Montclair, NJ, Bloomfield Avenue. Letās just say they tried to profiled us, two women. I was looking for a turtleneck because, I wanted to layer my clothing which was not warm enough so that I can go walking in the City. Nothing was to my liking, but I did purchase some Facial products. The cashier rubbed the three face mask against the counter vigorously and the make up remover package, I assume she was deactivating the sensor, but No, before my feet hit the alarm gates, another women in a white sweater came running and stopped short, then I stepped into the sensor gates and alarms started ringing, she, the white sweater came over towards us, my daughter and I, the cashier was off the register and also at the gates saying itās the beauty sensors..: and white sweater said, can I have your bag, I will take care of it and I said yes, you are clearly ready and standing here. She took the bags and came back and the alarms continued to ring, but she said itās ok, you guys can go. We left the store. Question if the counter is for deactivating the sensor why doesnāt it work with all the rubbing she was doing and then again the second time? And what happens to the credit cards and other magnetic items when it comes into contact with the...

Her overall demeanor was very kind and welcoming. Then the associate who assisted me was also very pleasant. He was tall, had cornrows (Giovani I think) and I believe he said he was new to the store, although he came across like heād been working there for a while. Another great interaction. The store was clean and had a good vibe. There was only one employee upstairs who didnāt smile, didnāt greet me and my daughter, or ask if we needed help, although we were feet from her. She had braids, and her demeanor just didnāt scream customer centric. She was directing an employee so she may have also been a manger. Anyway, we ended up purchasing a couple items and will definitely...

I had a disappointing experience at Urban Outfitters recently. As soon as we walked through the entrance, the alarm went off, which was both confusing and embarrassing. Instead of immediately addressing the issue with professionalism, the associate insisted that we walk back through the alarm system, as if we were trying to steal something.
It was uncomfortable to be treated this way, especially since the situation seemed to stem from a technical error rather than any wrongdoing on our part. The whole process was poorly handled, and there was no real effort made to apologize or reassure us.
Iād recommend Urban Outfitters look into updating their alarm systems and training their staff to manage these situations with more tact and respect for their customers. This experience left a bad taste, and Iām hesitant to shop...
