I scheduled an appointment asking for Gel X and a gel pedicure. When I got there, the woman asked what do I have on my nails. I said Gel X. As the lady was taking off my nails, she told me it was UV gel and not gel X. Mind you, I wasn’t aware of the difference between the two, the nail salon I usually go just refers to it as Gel X, not UV gel. The owner (I think her name is Victoria, she was a short Asian woman at the front desk), came over and told me the difference between UV gel and Gel X and asked which one I wanted. Now that I was aware of the difference, I said UV gel so I’d be able to come back for a fill in. While the lady was doing my nails, I asked can I still do my gel pedicure, cause I still wanted that and made an appointment for that. At that point it was around 6:40pm and the salon closes at 7:30pm. The owner came over saying I won’t have enough time, and I told her I requested a gel pedicure when I made the appointment. She kept asking me if I could come back the next day, I told her I couldn’t because I’ll be out of state. She asked me where I lived, how far am I from the salon, but she just seemed very annoyed, I didn’t like her tone. In the end she moved me to the pedicure chair and I finished up my nails there while I was getting my pedicure, and I heard the owner angrily telling the woman doing my nails “SHE SAID GEL X”. When I didn’t know the difference between gel x and UV gel and how long it would take. I didn’t see what the big deal was, I wasn’t asking to do the gel pedicure for free, that’s extra money going in her pocket, it was so unnecessary to get an attitude like that. The lady who did my nails and the one who did my feet were super nice and patient, but that lady Victoria was so rude. Please don’t come here.    Read moreI’ve been coming to Imperial Nails for close to 10 years. So of course, I opted to patronize the salon for an upcoming special occasion. I typically do not get gel nails (I usually do a regular manicure). However, for the special occasion I wanted to try something different. I asked if the technician could take care of my natural nails with the gel manicure. I was assured that the utmost care would be taken to protect my natural nails. I got the gel manicure, which was fine btw, and came back to the salon 2 weeks later to have the gel removed. I was told to book the appointment with my original nail tech for a soak off. The tech was in a hurry that day and did not take all of the gel off. When I came back to the salon to show that the gel residue was still on my nails, I was dismissed and told I was talking too much during the previous appointment and thus did not hear the technician’s comments about the soak off. Instead of comping the second soak off procedure, I was asked to pay again to fully remove the gel (something that should have been done the first time). On top of all this, my natural nails look awful. They have bumps and ridges and are thin and cracking—everything I was trying to avoid from the beginning. I’m disappointed in the level of customer care and communication. Suffice to say, I will not be returning to...
Read moreMy initial experience was a wonderful one, which is why I returned, even though they are definitely on the pricier side for gel manicures, and pedicures. Upon my second return, I came back on the day of my birthday for a gel manicure, and gel pedicure and I noticed many rude comments made by staff speaking in Spanish about how they didn’t want to complete my nail design or generally didn’t want to be working at that time. I waited very patiently and was in the salon during my service from 4-6pm for my service. They close at 7:30. Even one of the people managing the salon came over and gave me a crazy look at the nail design that I chose. (It was Neon for a vacation i was preparing for) The person who finally did complete it did a wonderful job. However, her attitude was very irritating and I was very uncomfortable and completely ready to leave. I noticed the ladies next to me, received a massage at the end of their manicure my tech got up wrote up my invoice and I didn’t see her again. I hate going to nail salons and not feeling comfortable plus being talked about in my face. How about asume from this point forward that majority of Americans are Spanish speaking at this point or consider keeping comments to yourself completely as they are very unprofessional. Definitely not returning for...
