V.Sosa Grooming Bar — Attraction in Montclair

I moved to NJ from NY 3 years ago, and of course one of my concerns was finding a new barber. I look up a few places on Yelp and V.Sosa Grooming bar had the highest reviews, so I figured I’ll start there. My wife wished me luck, and I took a deep breath and headed over to check them out. I actually drove by to scope out the shop and then circled back around. As many of you know, finding a new barber takes both courage and luck. So I found the courage to go in, and hopes for the luck part. Only two barbers were working that day, and both were booked at that time. One of the appointments hadn’t shown up yet, and was told to just stick around for a few. After about 15 minutes, the person still hadn’t shown, so I was called over. Turns out the barber (Julio), that hooked me up is one of the owners. Well, Its been 3 years and I haven’t gotten my hair cut by anyone else ever since! Glad I got lucky and didn’t have to keep looking for a new barber. I’ve been to both the Montclair and Dover locations and can honestly say that all of their barbers are...

So I've been going here for quite some time. Have procrastinated or rather have forgotten on leaving a review. Anywho, today I thought of my barbershop.

I absolutely love this place. I got a good vibe as soon as I walked in. Everyone was welcoming and it was accommodating.

Waiting area has adequate seating, huge TV and plenty of drinking fluids ( coffee, water etc) and of course music.

Everyone greets you when you walk in the door and you get treated as if you've known these people for years. I have been to many barbers in my life (NY/NJ) and have to say these are the BEST I've known and the best barbershop I've been too. (No, I'm not getting paid to leave a review!).

Whoever wants a legit barbershop with welcoming people and haircuts that are WORTH THE MONEY,...

Everyone at V. Sosa is also fantastic, so would highly recommend everyone there.

Frank, Julio, Daniella, Troy all have cut my hair over the years and they’ve all done a great job and a fantastic experience.

Troy has been my regular barber for a couple of years now. He never disappoints. He’s obviously very skilled at his craft and always does a fantastic job making sure that I look my best. He’s also an incredibly chill dude and makes for fun conversation.
