Montebello Mix ('Mart of Montebello') — Attraction in Montebello

Took over 20 minutes to place the order, order taker was new and kept having to stop and walk away to ask someone for help. But that's not really where the problem was. With the virus being a huge concern for safety, I don't believe they're following all the steps to protect their customers as well as their staff. The girl that was responsible for making the drinks, went to the back to grab a mop for another worker. Never changed gloves. Then leaned against the wall to relax, touching the wall that previous customers were touching. Still did not change gloves. Ended up going to the door, opening it, then returning to make drinks with the same gloves! Icing on the cake is that when the other employee was done with the mop, she took the mop and the bucket to the back and continued with the drink orders. Unsanitary! I am glad I did not order a drink, but with the concern brought up to the manager, it felt blown off as I still did not see the employee get a new clean pair of gloves. Super rude and unprofessional store. It's a shame that this store has such a rude manager Darren. I did not have my receipt so they did not want to honor what I paid, despite they had the same item in the store for the same price. After the fact that I pointed out the false advertising, the super rude sales person Desiree said that the item was missed priced. That is not a customers problem. If I had not seeing the item on sale, I would have not made a big deal aboit it. I asked the manager Darren where it stated the return rules and he said he did not know. I grew up in Montebello and have lived here all my life. This shipping mart is a few blocks away from where I live and I visit here for my basic shopping needs often.

Unfortunately, as with many areas in the greater LA district, this location is not as clean as it once used to be. There are homeless people walking up and down the store-fronts and I would definitely not be sitting on any of the uncleaned rest areas here.

The homeless problem at this mart became much worse when Goodwill opened up. You will often see homeless people picking the large Goodwill discarded and unsellable items in the trash bins at the rear of the store...
