Chiao Hsin Chinese Language School — Attraction in Monterey Park

I had the pleasure of attending Chiao Hsin Chinese Language School in Monterey Park over 35 years ago, and now my son continues to experience the rich cultural and educational environment during the summers. We would love to go during the year as well but we live too far away. This language school has stood the test of time, consistently providing a valuable and immersive learning experience for generations.

Chiao Hsin has maintained its commitment to fostering a strong foundation in the Chinese language while instilling a deep appreciation for Chinese culture. Up to several years ago (2018-19), this was a very good school. An after school program plus the Chinese language program. Then the following happened, year after year, there was a mass exodus of students and staff. It was due to a change of Leadership, direction and overall program culture. Students first was the original motto, until the paradigm shift. Now the attention is on the money. This school year (‘23), we saw many staff not returning, just some tutors who were picked up during the leadership change. In fact, Program Director of Education exited. This is a very AMAZING school, the principal 王老師is very nice, patient, and uses all her energy to teach her students. Every other teacher is also very caring, their Chinese teaching is amazing and now I even learned how to type Chinese on my mobile phone! There are also tutors that are gorgeous and help the students finish their homework so they don’t have to worry anything when they arrive home and get an easy A.
