I've been going to Frank's since I was a teen. I'm 31 now and was meeting a friend at a movie, she wasn't there so I switched theaters to find her, she ended up being a no show, so i decided to sit and watch the movie since i paid for my entry. An hour later, Three staff members came and asked for my ticket, which I always throw out. I was honest, and tokd them my scenerio. Who cares is was an empty house? Luckily, I found my ticket and will be going back tomorrow for a full refund. Not only did they ask for my ticket but they started asking everybody. What kind of movie theater does random stub checks mid movie? That's our time, we paid for it. I understand if it's a full house, we should go to the front desk if we got the wrong movie, or want to switch, but there was three seats sold. Not that it mattered, they checked everyone. The staff, after 13 years of movie going experience, without incident, hitlered the theater, humiliated me, kicked me out, when I pay every time. Kids sneak in all the time, I see it with my own eyes. Being a mormon Christian, I can't sit with that, I go right to the food stand if I have to and pay my way. Either way, these women bombarded me and everyone in the theater. Yet they were mainly after me, im skeptical of this Blondie lady who left the theater before they came in. Ill be reaching out to her too. But I'll never throw a stub out again. They even threatened to call the police when I was nothing but shocked that they would drag me put of the theater. This place is trash. If they treat monthly customers like this so they can make sure everyone is in the theater they picked originally then they will go under. The manager is uptight. I've never been so humiliated. I've never seen routine ticket checks mid movie. They do that here. Either that or the Blondie has some...
Read moreFor a place as large as a theater, the building can be a bit tricky to find, and when you do, there is a noticeable lack of signage. I've been here a few times, and it's been a ghost town. I realize that as someone who prefers early movies and avoids new releases, I am not seeing the place at its peak, but I have been the only patron in the theater more than once. The last two times I went, the floors in the lobby were sticky and the bathrooms smelled terrible. The seats were comfortable, but the chairs were squeaky - a problem exacerbated once by a rude patron who aggressively rocked his seat for the entire movie. I am a fan of movie popcorn, and each time I've been here, I've been disappointed with stale, room-temperature popcorn. I did bring it to the employee's attention on my last visit, but was told that the popcorn was fresh - however it was sitting in a big pile that sure didn't look freshly made. It's not a bad theater, and given how convenient it is to my home, I will keep returning when I don't want to drive further, but this place is in bad need of a makeover. Competition is going to become stiffer as the next closest theater is currently closed for a major renovation and will become the preferred choice for many people in the neat future. Montgomeryville deserves a great theater; I hope the owners are...
Read moreNot such a good experience this week. Walked into theater #3 and had to hold my nose from the horrid smell. Smelled like the cleaning product they use after someone has vomited. Only had to sit in theater #3 for five minutes to realize it was extremely cold. Asked manager if he could turn heat up. His reply was, there is NO heat in there. Heater was broken and they were waiting for a part to come. Hoped to have it repaired next week. He said the girl at ticket booth should have mentioned it to us but obviously she didn't or I wouldn't be writing this! I had to go to car for two blankets. Kids had winter coats, hats, hoods and blanket on to stay warm for 2 hr movie. I said , first time I've ever come to the movies with a blanket. Their response was, " well, there's always a first for something." I'm very disappointed in how the situation was handled. Demonstrates to me they really have no concern for their movie goers. It's a shame we all don't take pride in our work! Please be sure you dress warm and take blankets if you decide to view a movie in theater 3!!! Certainly will think twice...
