First, another reviewer stated they didn’t have any vegetarian options and while true, they also stated the modification options weren’t good. That wasn’t our experience with the vegetarian burrito bowl which was recommended and came out very well - would order again.
The snapper was fried a hair too crisp which made deboning more difficult than normal. The presentation was very appetizing and the flavor was actually very great. I would’ve liked more of the “spicy” sauce on the plate below the fish, instead of a little on top, which left the rest of the fish unseasoned.
The table side guac was what you’d expect, pleasant that it was actually table side in a post pandemic world.
Oysters on half shell were messy to consume still attached to the oyster but loaded with seafood. I love when they’re attached still to inspire freshness but it made for difficult eating when heavily topped. A great idea to a dish that I would change the presentation on - serve in large soup spoons removed from the shell. Consumption would be easy and it would look even more decadent.
The salsas here rock. Nice and spicy option alongside a traditional. I love that they give a complimentary ceviche with the chips and salsa but even as a stout pescatarian that loves everything raw, cooked and in between I couldn’t consume this either time I was here, it’s just not palatable for me. I’d sooner see them add some more dominant flavors than the tilapia(?)’s which is more sensitive to freshness “raw”.
Service is excellent. I’m happy to see a dedicated Mexican seafood restaurant in the area. They have a plethora of options on the menu, I hope a little more refining leads to a real hidden gem of a restaurant!
Mexican sushi is cool too, I just wish they’d have a little more creativity than throwing cream cheese in everything which as an actual sushi lover I can stand...
Read moreFood tasted great but it took a while to get our drinks or even order and just way too pricey. We were a group of 6 and it also wasn’t too busy maybe 3 tables. They do start by bringing you chips with salsa (verde and red hot) and a ceviche (I’m guessing that’s what it is since it wasn’t explained). Margaritas were also good but for the price (21$ it does come in a fun fish glass) you’d expect to taste the alcohol more. Guacamole was super tasty and made table side but a tip was expected. The actual food was super good. I got the Mayan tacos and the seafood tasted fresh and spiced well but they put lettuce on top which didn’t fit at all. I was asked if I wanted rice and beans but was only given the rice. When I asked for the beans I was told it would be an extra charge. They have 6 different hot sauces on the table which were also fun to try. Portion size was good. Again just seemed pricey and not the service you’d expect from a place that just opened 3 months ago. Good cuisine concept and delicious food just seems like they’re lacking in the execution and the pricing just seems too high. Some items on the menu are MP which is kind of intimidating when most menu items are already...
Read moreWe’ve been waiting for this place to be open so we can explore and see how’s the food. When we saw this place open for business we made some time to stop by and try it. The interior is really colorful… for my taste is a bit dark with all wall with blue kinda dark blue to me, and I don’t think I see windows either. Anyway when we looked their menu, me and my husband agreed that the price is pretty high. Some of their menu is a bit complicated and too fancy to my taste. Also they have sushi and Mexican ramen noodles which my husband was trying to convince me to give it a try since I’m an Asian and love ramen lol.. but yeah I didn’t try the ramen neither the sushi at this place. I had burrito bowl, my husband had quesabirrias and my son had burrito boca grande. We just ordered simple, typical Mexican food.. nothing fancy. I like more into simple, traditional and the authenticity food. With that said I’m not sure this restaurant is for us to come back. But hey we already stop by and...
